The Villisca Axe Murders happened in the evening between June 9th, 1912, and the early morning of June 10th, 1912. A total of 8 people, including 6 children between the ages of 5 and 12 were slain in the Moore home. This case is very well known and is also known as the most notorious murders that occurred in Iowa’s history. This case had many years of ongoing investigations, trials, and more.
