Mary Oladele is a therapeutic radiographer and founder CEO of Cancer Education UK. She started the charity when she saw that many people from Black, Asian, minority ethnic and refugee (BAMER) communities were seeking help late because of the stigma of cancer.
The mission is to destigmatize cancer by providing education and support in these communities so people can get the information and care they need - to date, they have supported over 3000 people.
Mary is very honest about figuring it out as she goes along. This episode is a reminder that having a passion for helping people is the only qualification you need to get started.
