  • S2E2: How to make a living as a creative
Creators, Freelancers, Entrepreneurs listen up. Today my guests are breaking down what it means to follow your passion and make a profit from it while making an impact.
Andre Manning (@dre_manning) started developing his artistry as a rapper but when it started feeling like a job decided to pursue other creative endeavours. Dre is currently working on starting a hat company called the 9 brand and is also the proud founder of a startup marketing company Black Crown Media where he hopes to tell stories that are true and authentic to the Black community.
Mike Norice (@mikenorice)started drawing at age 2 and has spent the last 30+ years perfecting his craft. With a mother who encouraged his talent, years of training as a fine artist and a degree in Apparel & Manufacturing, Mike has set himself apart as an experienced and unique individual. With celebrity clients to boast, Mike bridges his classical training with street art in a way that compels you to watch. He is the owner of BYN Customs, a non profit Artfully United and creates custom art pieces on a daily basis while being a husband and father. Mike's work ethic alone makes his signature worth it. www.mikenorice.com
My guests have come to their careers from different angles but both have an acute focus that allows them to continually develop while concurrently being successful in their fields. Grab your notebook, this is a good one.

  • S2E1: Build, Bullshit or Boss Up?
    Welcome to Season 2!

The episode starts with an update on additions to the podcast since the last airing. I explain what I have been up to in the interim and how the podcast has grown.

Then, to start the new year off strong I give you the tough love you've been waiting for. I challenge listeners to ask themselves three questions that will force you to make a decision about the direction of your life.

    1. Am I creating something worth having?
    2. Am i waiting for superman?
    3. What is the next necessary step on my journey and why have I not taken it yet?

This episode of the podcast is dedicated to my day 2 Patreon supporter Gabriella Hernandez.

  • Episode 9: The Ram & The Bull
I had the privilege to sit down and chat with two men I admire and ask lots of questions about things that were on my mind. This episode is full of astrological energy of Aries and Taurus.

Lamar Patterson is a working father and aspiring podcast host. He loves to talk about just about everything but mostly about how to let go of excuses and make things happen.

I have been friends with Antwan Thomas for over a decade and value his opinion about many things. In this conversation the "former rapper" talks about his trials and tribulations in the music industry, why entrepreneurship makes sense and why family history matters.

  • Episode 8- Relationship Goals
On this episode of the podcast I got to talk about one of my favorite subjects: LOVE.

As much as I enjoy giving advice and sharing my opinion, I wanted to talk about relationships with two people who are in one.

Ariel Jackson is a renaissance woman dabbling in makeup, modeling, art and entrepreneurship. She is the creator behind @urbanrenaccess where she makes beautiful earrings, waistbeads and other accessories. Her artistry spans singing, dancing and painting and you can see her in action on her personal page @1mermaidbabe

Patrick Mitchell played basketball for most of his life even going semi-pro. But like Ariel he is an artist at heart not to mention a father and visionary. Together with his partner Ariel they formed @urbanrenalliance to showcase their art and provide a platform for other artists to do the same.

On this episode the two share their love story, the ups and downs and offer some advice for how to maintain a healthy relationship with one's self while also being a competent and loving partner. Want to expand your creativity? Well they also give us tips on being disciplined in your craft, accepting feedback on your work and asking for help when necessary.

Grab a pen and pad to take notes or a bag to catch all the gems they are dropping.

This episode is a powerful conversation about purpose, mental health and divine timing.

Both of my guests are dynamic and incredible spirits who I have learned a great deal from. In this conversation I wanted to get a deeper understanding of who my guests were on a spiritual level; what struggles they survived and how they go to be where they are today.
