Dean Z has dedicated his entire life to honoring the legacy of Elvis Aaron Presley, the "King of Rock 'n' Roll."

 

From childhood impressions, to stages across the globe, he is one of the best in the business today. His career has taken him to Japan, Australia, Norway, Denmark, England, across Canada and the United States.

 

In 2007 he joined the Legends in Concert cast in Branson. "There's just the right amount of production without watering down the authentic spirit of Elvis in the 50's," Dean says of his daily shows at Legends.

 

In addition to his stellar tribute work as Elvis Presley, Dean also performs as Buddy Holly as part of select "Legends in Concert" shows.  Then in August 2013 Dean was named the "2013 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist" in a contest sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. 

 

Dean also takes great pride in his two bands, The Gimps and The Kraken. The Gimps, a Rockabilly/Surf powerhouse group, and The Kraken, specializing in pop and rock hits from the 1990's and 2000's.  It's always a treat when you can catch them performing.

This week we welcome award-winning singer and songwriter, Billy Yates!

 

Billy Yates is a Nashville based singer/songwriter whose songs have been recorded by artists such as George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Gary Allan, Joe Nichols, Chris Young, John Michael Montgomery, Daryle Singletary, The Oak Ridge Boys, Gene Watson, Rhonda Vincent, and more.

Yates also co-wrote the George Jones classics, "I Don't Need Your Rockin' Chair" and the Grammy-award winning, "Choices".

 

A seasoned entertainer, Billy  

Yates also tours Europe extensively where his traditional style of Country Music has created thousands of fans who attend his sold-out concerts in about every European Country.  He was recently named the ECMA Male Vocalist of the Year.  Yates holds the distinct honor of being one of the first American artists to perform in China's former Capitol city, Xian.  He is also the first American artist to be featured on the popular, Irish TV documentary, Opry an luir and is the first American artist to record in the traditional Irish Gaelic language.

release, "Favorites II" which was released December, 2015. 

 

He most recently joined the cast of "Raiding the Country Vault," at the beautiful Mansion Theatre.  This new production, in Branson, has tapped top country music industry talent to take audiences on a journey through the greatest hits of Country Music - America's most beloved genre. This week we welcome Country Music Recording Star:  Leona Williams!

 

Leona Williams was destined to become a Country Music Entertainer.  She landed her first radio show at the age of 15, simply called "Leona Sings" in Jefferson City, Missouri.  That journey would take her all over the world and allow her to sing before thousands and thousands of Country Music fans.

  

Leona moved to Nashville in the late 1960s from a small town in Missouri called Vienna, and was soon recording for Hickory Records with such hits as "Once More" and "Yes Ma'am, He Found Me In A Honky Tonk".  Since then, Leona has traveled worldwide and opened shows for some of country music's top entertainers and made numerous personal appearances at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

Leona later teamed up with Merle Haggard for a top ten duet called "The Bull and the Beaver" and a duet album followed called HEART TO HEART. During this time, she would write some of Merle's biggest hits including "You Take Me For Granted" and "Someday When Things Are Good."

  

Leona, a Missouri native, was inducted into the Country Music Association of Texas Hall of Fame in 1999.  She was also honored with the prestigious George D. Hay Award in 2002 and was also inducted into the Missouri Country Music Hall of Fame.  In 2011, Leona was awarded "Entertainer of the Year" by R.O.P.E. (Reunion of Professional Entertainers).

  

Whether in a recording studio, dance or concert hall or on stage at the Grand Ole Opry, Leona Williams always gives her very best to her fans and her music. She definitely presents a special class to the world of Country Music.  Her talented son Ron will also be performing with her this week.

This week we welcome Arkansas Bluegrass Favorites:  Bitter Creek!

  

If you like traditional bluegrass harmonies and great picking, then you will love this week's guest, Bitter Creek!

 

The group is comprised of Kent & Becky Coffey, along with Danny Yancey.

 

These talented folks have been playing Bluegrass music for years.  Although they are based in Arkansas, they have traveled many miles competing and entertaining in Bluegrass Festivals throughout the four-state area.

 

Our very own Jamie Haage performed with the Coffey's for a number of years prior to his Branson show commitments. 

We're really going to put them to work Friday night.  The majority of the show will be "unplugged" and keeping it Bluegrass.  Melody, Jamie and Jackie have picked some great songs to do acoustic.

This week we welcome star of the Grand Ole Opry:  Mary Lou Turner!

  

Born in Hazard, Kentucky, Mary Lou Turner began her career as a Country Music Artist in 1974 with her first popular song, All That Keeps Me Going.  She followed that success with several other songs that reached the top 50 on the U.S. Country Charts, including It's Different With You, Love It Away, and Cheatin' Overtime.

 

Though a star in her own right, she may be best known for the duets she sang with Bill Anderson.  The duo teamed up to produce hits in the top 25 on the U.S. Country Charts, including I'm Way Ahead of You and Where Are You Going, Billy Boy.  The pair released Sometimes in 1976 which reached Number 1 on the Country Charts.  That same year, she and Bill also released That's What Made Me Love You reaching number 7 with that hit.

 

Mary Lou has performed in the theaters of Branson, Missouri for many years.  She starred with both Boxcar Willie and Buck Trent, before joining the Grand Ladies of Country Music Show.  She and her husband, David, call the Ozarks home.

This week we welcome local musical favorites:  Eastern Heights!

  

Eastern Heights is made up of three young men with high energy, tight harmonies, and mind blowing musicianship.   Members include Rob Blackburn, Grant Moody and Tyler Stephens.

 

Although primarily a modern country band, Eastern Heights is very versatile and plays multiple genres such as Rock, Pop, Disco, Funk, Classic Country, and today's Hot Country to name a few.

 

Eastern Heights has been together for a little over a year and is taking Branson by storm!

 

Although very young, this group has such professionalism and talent that you wouldn't believe they've only been together for a year! When Eastern Heights takes the stage they will take you on a journey playing songs from artist like, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan and many more!

 

Not only does Eastern Heights do an outstanding job on these different artist, they also have original music starting to come out. They recently just released their first single on iTunes titled "Local Honey" and will be releasing their E.P. early next year with five new originals!
