La Rue Brodus is a poet, photographer and mentor who retired in 1994 after 20 years of working for The Guardian Life Insurance Company in New York. She moved to Virginia and is now retired from her job as a school bus driver with Prince William County after 13 years. She’s the mother of three sons and grandmother of two. La Rue has enjoyed exploring writing and creativity since her retirement and belongs to several socially conscious groups and poetry and photography groups on Facebook where she’s enjoying new doors to exploring her gifts, talents and abilities.
