Leaders don’t rush to speak, they pause to connect.
In this closing episode of the Finish Strong content series, I share how powerful pauses, in conversation, in decision-making, and in life, create more clarity, confidence, and influence.
When you pause, you give your words, and your wisdom — space to land.
You’ll learn:
Brave Move:
Pause before responding today — in a meeting, conversation, or decision — and let your confidence lead.

Let’s talk about balance — and yes, that includes dark chocolate, red wine, and cheese.
In this fun, science-backed episode, I share research on how moderation and mindfulness can improve your health, happiness, and focus. It’s not about restriction — it’s about awareness and pleasure in balance.
You’ll learn:
Brave Move:
Pick one thing that brings you simple joy — maybe it’s your favorite chocolate, a cozy meal, or that one song that always lifts your spirit,
and give yourself full permission to enjoy it without apology.
Notice how it feels to be fully present in that moment, to celebrate life, not just survive it.
Because confidence isn’t built through deprivation, it’s built through discernment.

Do you ever feel like you’re swinging between constant panic and total detachment? This episode is about finding your confident middle ground.
I’ll teach you how to stay centered when life feels chaotic — how to pause before reacting, breathe before speaking, and reconnect with your calm, grounded self. Confidence isn’t about control; it’s about clarity in motion.
You’ll learn:
Brave Move:
Here’s your brave move for today:
When you catch yourself leaning into chaos — rushing, worrying, multitasking — or drifting into chill — numbing out, avoiding, or checking out —
pause.
Take one deep breath.
Ask, “What would it look like to return to center right now?”
Then do the smallest next right thing.
It could be stepping away from your desk, journaling, or sending one encouraging message instead of doom-scrolling.
That one shift brings you back to balance — and back to yourself.

Did you know that having a sister, biological or chosen, can actually boost your confidence and mental health?
In this uplifting episode, I explore the science behind sisterhood and the power of women supporting women. I’ll share how community and connection build self-esteem and how every woman benefits when we lift each other up.
You’ll learn:
Brave Move:
Here’s your brave move for today:
Reach out to a “sister” in your life — whether it’s family, a friend, or someone you admire — and tell her what she means to you.
Or, if you’ve been feeling disconnected, write yourself a letter from your inner sister.
Remind yourself of your resilience, your worth, and how far you’ve come.
Because sisterhood — in all its forms — is how we stay brave.

In a world obsessed with image, authenticity has become an act of rebellion.
In this episode, I talk about what happens when we stop performing confidence and start living it. Because a curated life might look beautiful online, but a true life feels beautiful inside.
You’ll hear how authenticity creates deeper relationships, stronger leadership, and a kind of confidence that doesn’t need validation.
You’ll learn:
Brave Move:
Share something real today — a lesson learned, a behind-the-scenes moment, or an honest reflection.

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m talking about something most people never say out loud: that strange, heavy feeling that sometimes comes with success.
You’ve worked hard, done the mindset work, achieved your goals… and then one day, you catch yourself thinking, “Who am I to have this when others are struggling?”
That’s the mix of empathy and guilt that so many of us quietly carry — especially women who lead, nurture, and give so much of themselves.
I know that feeling well. When my business first started taking off, I found myself shrinking instead of celebrating. I’d downplay my wins, deflect praise, and quietly wrestle with guilt, not gratitude.
But over time, I learned that guilt doesn’t serve anyone. It doesn’t make us kinder, wiser, or more generous; it just keeps us small.
In this episode, I share how I learned to shift from guilt to grace, and then into generosity. I explore what the Stoics taught about balance and discernment, and how living with awareness allows us to use what we have for good, not guilt.
You’ll learn how to:
💛 Reframe the guilt that often accompanies growth and abundance
💡 Move from comparison to compassion
🌿 Practice discernment when giving or helping others
🌍 Live generously without losing your peace
⚡ Lead with empathy — for yourself and others
This conversation is a gentle reminder that having more doesn’t make you selfish; it allows you to be intentional, kind, and impactful.
Brave Move:
Think of one area in your life where you’ve been holding back joy out of guilt. Practice grace. Celebrate your blessings, and find one small way to share that abundance with someone else.

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m exploring gratitude — not as a fluffy feel-good practice, but as a powerful Stoic and neurological tool that helps us find peace and sharpen our discernment.
Let’s be honest — it’s hard not to want the next thing. The next goal, the next version of success, the next big milestone. We live in a culture that glorifies the pursuit of more. But what if the real secret to growth isn’t chasing more… it’s noticing what’s already here?
The Stoics believed that gratitude isn’t just appreciation — it’s training. By learning to value what we already have, we train our minds to focus on sufficiency rather than scarcity. That shift doesn’t just make us happier — it makes us wiser.
I share how I personally rewired my own thinking through daily gratitude and how this practice helped me stop chasing validation and start choosing alignment.
In this episode, we’ll explore:
• Why gratitude is the foundation of emotional intelligence and resilience
• How Stoic philosophy teaches us to anchor in the present moment
• The neuroscience behind how gratitude rewires your brain for peace and discernment
• A simple 7-day gratitude reset you can start today
Gratitude doesn’t mean ignoring your ambition. It means refining it — so you can pursue what truly matters with clarity, confidence, and calm.
Brave Move:
Start your 7-day Gratitude Reset. Each day, write down three things you’re grateful for — and make at least one something small or easily overlooked. Watch how your mindset shifts from pressure to peace.

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m diving deep into one of my favorite phrases — “Be a leader, not a follower.”
Before you roll your eyes and think, “But Julie, I’m not a leader,” hear me out. You are.
You might not run a company or manage a team, but you lead your life — and that makes you your own CEO.
Today, I want to talk about what true leadership really looks like — not the kind that’s about titles, power, or prestige, but the kind that starts with you.
When I first began moving up the ladder in my corporate career, I thought being a leader meant being in charge — telling people what to do, having all the answers, and staying perfectly in control. But what I learned (the hard way) was that leadership isn’t about control — it’s about growth, humility, and self-awareness.
I share the story of a woman I once worked with — a leader with a résumé that intimidated everyone, including me. Her confidence stirred up my insecurities, and I started feeling competitive and inadequate. I found myself reacting, not leading.
That experience taught me that the first person I needed to lead was myself.
I had to learn to regulate my emotions, develop empathy, and stop following fear and comparison.
In this episode, we’ll talk about:
Being a leader isn’t about being the loudest in the room. It’s about being the calmest. The most curious. The one willing to grow first.
Brave Move:
Look in the mirror today — not to judge, but to reflect. Ask yourself, Am I leading my life, or am I following fear? Then, choose one way to lead differently this week.

This episode is close to my heart. In honor of my dad’s birthday, I’m sharing one of his greatest lessons, the Babe Ruth mindset: you can’t hold the record for home runs without also holding the record for strikeouts.
In life and business, we all hesitate because we fear failure. But the truth is, confidence grows every time you swing, miss, and try again. I’ll share how this philosophy shaped my courage as a speaker, entrepreneur, and coach, and how you can use it to move past hesitation and into bold action.
You’ll learn:
Brave Move:
Write down one “strikeout” from this year and the lesson it taught you, then plan your next big swing.

In this episode of Brave Moves, I’m talking about empathy, not as a buzzword, but as a brave leadership skill.
With millions of Americans facing food insecurity due to the government shutdown, I’ve been reflecting on how empathy is more than “feeling bad for someone.” It’s about showing up with compassion, presence, and action.
We’ll explore how empathy expands confidence, how to care without carrying the world on your shoulders, and why leadership that leads with heart is what our world needs most right now.
You’ll learn:
Brave Move:
Do one act of empathy today, listen, give, or acknowledge someone’s struggle with care.
