Sarah Moshman is an Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker, TV Producer and TEDx speaker whose work has been featured on Upworthy, Marie Claire, Forbes, CNN and Good Morning America. She wants to tell stories that inform, uplift an inspire, believing that cinema can be a platform for conversation that creates change. We hear about her films: The Empowerment Project ( about ordinary women doing extraordinary things), and Losing Sight of Shore (in which a completely unsupported cox-less crew of four women row across the Pacific from the US to Australia). Her most recent film takes a look behind the headlines of #MeToo and Times Up. NEVERTHELESS follows the intimate stories of 7 courageous individuals who have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace or school context. From a writer's assistant on a top TV show to a Tech CEO and 911 dispatcher, the film shines a light on the ways in which we can shift our culture and rebuild.
Our host Lou Hamilton interviews Sarah who tells her about how, against all the odds she raises the money, researches and makes the films, and then with distribution company Indieflix has an innovative approach to getting the films seen globally.

Host Lou Hamilton interviews Alison Criado-Perez, a registered nurse who later in life packed her bags and headed to the frontline to help with humanitarian aid for Medecins Sans Frontieres. She was scared, but did it anyway. She went out on one mission, and then another and then another. The Imposter Syndrome tried to make her change her mind every time. Nevertheless when she decided each one was the last, she would find a reason to go off again. Helping people, despite the danger to herself, is what makes her courageous. Seeing the positive impact MSF brings with their support and skills, is what keeps her going. Now, after her last trip to Yemen, she is in lockdown, wondering what the future holds.

From ASOS to Top Shop to Threads, Laura Southern aced her career trajectory through the fashion industry. Always comfortable in her own skin, ballsy and brave, Laura climbed every mountain put in front of her. When she began her side hustle - a unique nail bar she called House of Lady Muck, she threw herself into the Beauty industry not knowing if she would crash and burn or fly high. Self-sabotage kicked in but the offer to take her salon into Top Shop's flagship store in Oxford street London along with winning a low interest loan from Virgin money Start-up meant there was going back now. She jumped ship from her full time job, into the world of Entrepreneurship, building her brand, and then the coronavirus happened. Join us for the first of our second series "Stories from the Edge" (recorded remotely) with guests who are brave, bold and sometimes bloody-minded. It takes that to make the world a better place.

Before an audience at Radio Rooftop Cafe, London, Lou Hamilton interviews Podstar Emily Syphas for this month's Brave New You tribe Podcast. Emily is the founder of Sober & Social, a community she formed in her early days of sobriety when she realised that just because she had given up drinking alcohol that didn't mean she had to give up going out and having fun. Creating Sober & Social gave her accountability but it also gave her purpose; she loved partying and she wanted to give others who were going sober a reason to keep being sociable and surround themselves with supportive people who understood where they were on their journey. So if you want your drinks shaken but not slurred, if you are sober curious or somewhere along the sober spectrum, then this inspirational talk is for you.

David received his award from the Queen for services to grass roots enterprise and social responsibility. An entrepreneur from a young age it was always ideas that fired him up, and by creating financial freedom for himself, he was able to turn his mathematical brain and social conscience to tackling environmental problems in people's homes. With his ingenious solutions he also has an educational programme of simple steps that we can all take to lower our bills, insulate our home, reduce our emissions and clear up the air we breathe. This month Lou Hamilton interviews Shaa Wasmund MBE live at Radio Rooftop Cafe. In a heartfelt and inspiring conversation, Shaa reveals the journey from poverty and childhood violence to working with Chris Eubank & becoming the first licensed woman boxing promoter, to working with Sir James Dyson, and beyond that to building a multi-million pound business. But it was only when she was brought to her knees through a terrible tragedy that she discovered her true mission. She overturned her belief that she couldn't be creative and a successful entrepreneur, wrote three best-selling books including her latest "How to Fix your Sh*t", and began helping women to find financial freedom, resilience, success and happiness through entrepreneurship. She now has the largest Facebook following in the UK and has been recognised for her contribution to business by the Queen. www.shaa.com
At Brave New You TRIBE Meredith & Lou would like to thank all the women who came to the event, and Shaa for sharing her story. A real life Brave New Girl.

Climbing her way through anxiety and severe panic disorder Tina educated herself in psychotherapy and self-help over many years until she eventually found a way through. She has channelled her experience and creative talents to produce the successful series of beautifully illustrated self-help guides called Mapology Guides, so that anyone who is struggling may also begin to find a way to healing. www.mapologyguides.com
