I’ve been enjoying a very slow final two weeks of 2021 and I can’t tell you how needed it is. It’s been a year.

So I thought I’d share my own Year in Review – and a glance at the year ahead. As I write this, it’s a Friday and I’m at my co-working space downtown and I’m looking out the big wide windows at the quiet world. And at the same time, my teenagers went off to school under some mysterious warning of a possible school shooting.

It was courageous to send them to school. But honestly they didn’t even ask to stay home so I didn’t want to project my fears onto them.

But to give it to you real ... I'm changing the name -- and the content slightly -- of The Brave Yes Show.

On Jan. 3, the show will be rebranded to The Brave Yes CEO, a podcast for women identified CEOs. We'll explore what it means to lead authentically and bravely into our new world as entrepreneurs, changemakers and leaders.

In my private Brave Yes Coaching, my beautiful clients — who are creators or changemakers — often talk about being frustrated that they can’t seem to make time for what matter, including their own well-being needs.

But, almost always the issue is never not enough time because almost always the urgency of life has taken hold and what matters most is shoved to the sidelines.

And almost always, we end up talking about your inner taskmaster.

Mine is fierce and related to her sister part of me — my inner critic.

But these two are separate parts that must be addressed meaningfully.
