Eph Chapter 1 - All Inclusive
The gospel message is this...even though mankind
was in a hopeless situation, on our own account,
while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us.
God has made everything available to
mankind.
Phil 4:19 And my God shall supply all
your need according to His riches in
glory by Christ Jesus.
This means my security is in Jesus!!
It is God’s will to do so, it always has been,
and always will be.
Predestined, before the foundation of
the world, He knew you...
He has a plan for us, good things, good
thoughts, we are unique and were
created by Him individually.
This means my identity is in Jesus!!
God has accepted you, chosen you, and
adopted you...and it is his good
pleasure...this is His will, His want to, His
desire
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded that
neither death nor life, nor angels nor
principalities nor powers, nor things
present nor things to come, 39 nor
height nor depth, nor any other created
thing, shall be able to separate us from
the love of God which is in Christ Jesus
our Lord.
This means my acceptance is in Jesus.
Verse 12 he mentions that they first trusted
and then in 13 he says because of that then
you trusted.
He says we believe, which caused you
to believed, and now we are all sealed
with the Holy Spirit of promise who is
the guarantee of our inheritance.
This means my purpose is in Jesus.
The chapter finishes with Paul praying for those
who believe in Jesus, and who love people.
This is the deck guide...this prayer will help
us to understand all that is available in the
front half of the chapter.
Paul prays that God would give believer’s a
spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of Him...not Paul, God!!
Paul asks God to open the eyes of our
understanding, that God would grant us
enlightenment regarding the hope of His
calling and the inheritance that is on the
inside of us...that He put there.
Pauls also asks God to help us to understand
the life source, the power, the miracle that is
contained within the gospel message, the
power that resides on the inside of us who
believe.
This chapter is all inclusive. This chapter meets
every God-shaped void in our life, and provides a
way for us to understand who God is, who we are
in Christ, what we have available to us, and how
we can administer this knowledge to others.
