Luke 6:47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings

not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. 49 But he

who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a

house on the earth without a foundation, against which

the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell.

Eph 6:10-13 talks of being able to stand in the evil day.

1. You are strong in the Lord and the power of His

might.

2. Put on the whole armor...what you know about

salvation, righteousness, the Word of God. This

phrase implies doing something with this

information.

Application:

● Underpinned my marriage

○ Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as

Christ also loved the church and gave

Himself for her

● Installed helical piers around what I thought about

myself.

○ Eph 2 Adopted, brought near, no longer a

stranger, access to God

○ Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of

your mouth, but what is good for necessary

edification, that it may impart grace to the

hearers.
