In Jonah 3 & 4 - Jonah obeys God a second time of him asking him to go to Nineveh - he goes.

He carries out the WILL God has for him, BUT didn’t do it with the HEART of God.

When God doesn’t destroy the city because they turned their hearts to him, Jonah is FURIOUS!

Why?

Because if we’re not ROOTED in the heart of God, we will WANT our own vengeance and not Gods GRACE for our enemies.

Carrying out the WILL of God WITH the HEART of God is what we need to seek.

His WAY.

You choose to either REMAIN or DISDAIN from God.

These verses hit me.

“IF you remain in me I WILL remain in YOU.”

God will not force himself upon you.

You have to DAILY make a choice of choosing to stay connected to the vine. Allowing God to be your LIFE source.

In choosing HIM - you get the BENEFITS of bringing HIM glory by the FRUIT you produce IN HIM!

Forgetting the last days and FOCUSING on what’s ahead with anticipation of the GREATER!
