Justin Rose weathered the storms to win for the first time in four years at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.  Between weather delays, outrageous pro-shop prices and Aaron Rodgers sandbagging his way to pro-am victory, this event was a dumpster fire that needs fixing.

The California kid, Max Homa comes from behind to win the Farmer's Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.  Homa wins his 4th PGA Tour event in his home state as he passes Sam Ryder, whose joggers drew a lot of attention this week.

The DP World tour drama continued as Rory birdied 17 & 18 to beat Patrick Reed who had another rules issue this week in Dubai.

The podcast picked a winner for the 3rd straight week and we will try for a 4th as we make our picks for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am on this episode.

The 2023 calendar year is here and we started off with complete mayhem at the Sentry Tournament of Champions!  Collin Morikawa goes on a bogey streak as Jon Rahm goes on a heater to pass him for the title.

We will give our picks for the Sony Open this week and discuss the tournament and the field, as well as a little NFL playoffs picks segment.

We are excited to have Korn Ferry Tour rookie Frankie Capan III on this week to talk golf.  Frankie is a native Minnesotan and former D1 golfer that has won the State Amateur title, played in a PGA Tour event and is about to start his rookie campaign on the Korn Ferry Tour this season.

To kick off our second season of the Break 80 podcast we are joined by a big knocker in the world of golf social media and entertainment - Todd Schuster aka Tron Carter from No Laying Up.

In the interview Tron is going to talk about the beginnings of NLU on twitter all the way to their latest season of Tourist Sauce in Scandinavia.  We will sprinkle in a little Minnesota golf talk as he has played a few courses here and talk some Jaguars and Vikings football.

The podcast crew recorded live this week from the Minnesota Golf Lab in Long Lake, which is the home of Go Low Golf.

Viktor Hovland loves to win when not on U.S. soil as he proved once again this week by defending his title at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.  We will discuss why he struggles to be more of a mainstay on the leader board during regular tour events plus other news from the world of professional golf.

While in the Minnesota Golf Lab, Mike has a theory on putting - short people are better putters.  After giving his theory and providing some evidence, you can decide if this theory has merit.

We have a special interview this week with Minnesota native and current PGA Professional at Westchester Country Club, Alex Beach.  Alex is going to share his journey from high school golf in Stillwater, Minnesota to working and playing at some of the best golf clubs in the world.  Along the way he has won two PGA professional national championships and played in five PGA Championships, including the most recent championship at Southern Hills.  

There will also be a some talk about the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and we may have found our way onto some of the most exclusive country clubs in America (if the trespassing fine and jail time aren't that steep).  All this and we talk about what we are thankful for this Thanksgiving season on episode 32 of the Break80 podcast.
