It's Henry David Thoreau's birthday, and to celebrate let's simply simplify. Barry shares his favorite passage from "Walden" that emphasizes taking the time to enjoy 'the bloom of the moment.'

With today being 'Cheer Up The Lonely Day' and 'All American Pet Photo Day' ... pass along that pet pic of your fur babies (or reptiles) to someone who needs a lift. Barry shares a personal story from his teen years of how his family cheered up a neighbor whose son was in combat in Vietnam.

Barry's guest on today's podcast is Andrea Cosans, the Executive Director of CCAP (Congregational Community Action Project). Andrea discusses the new community FREEDGE, taking care of those in need in our community, as well as renovations to their buildings and the upcoming Bike Event fundraiser.
