Over 400 people have died after following air strikes from Israel in Gaza, according to local health authorities in the war-torn territory.
The Israeli military says the air strikes will continue for as long as necessary and has even flagged a potential return of Israeli ground troops.
Meanwhile, the White House says US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to seek a limited ceasefire against energy and infrastructure targets in the Russia-Ukraine war, following a phone call lasting at least 90 minutes.
The White House has described the pause as the first step in a “movement to peace” it hopes will eventually lead to a full and lasting end to the fighting.
Also, the federal government has lodged diplomatic protests with China after two prominent Hong Kong pre-democracy activists were targeted by what appears to be attempts to intimidate and silence them on Australian soil.
In South Australia, a pamphlet was sent to Adelaide mosques which claimed to be from a local lawyer who was pro-Israel and wanted to "wage war against Islamic terrorism."
And Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has suggested holding a referendum to allow dual nationals - who break the law - to have their citizenship stripped by ministers, prompting some on his own side of politics to call it a "very bad" and "insane idea".
It's part of the Coalition's plan to toughen the requirements for Australian citizenship, but in 2022, the High Court found only judges should have the power to decide whether to strip someone's citizenship if they have not faced trial in Australia.
