In this episode, I sat down with Jasmine who is my very first guest speaker on the podcast!
Jasmine is a beautiful friend of mine who, at the time of recording, was also living in Byron Bay (on the East coast of Australia) where her and I met.
Jasmine is a warm, fun, and talented woman who (amongst many things) is a yoga teacher, beautiful poet, and singer.
One of the things I admire about Jasmine is her courageous heart. For example, Jasmine’s commitment to doing the inner work has enabled her to heal deep patterns of intergenerational trauma having grown up with parents who were refugees from the Vietnam war.
I also admire Jasmine's willingness to go out of her comfort zone through solo travels, make connections with new people, and share her creative gifts through writing and singing.
In the episode we talk about:
How traveling can help you plant the seed to break out of your cage
The healing power of connecting with people and creating meaningful relationships
How you can be a change-maker in your own family and break intergenerational trauma
What codependency is and how you can shift out of co-dependent patterns and take your power back
How to express your needs in relationships (with family, friendships, and romantic partnerships)
The power of doing “The Work” and the ripple effect it can have within your family and community
Why there is no "right way" to break out of your cage and how, ultimately, you have to find your own path that is unique to you
