Today, we are studying the twelfth chapter of John.  To be grounded in God's love is to have a deep understanding of God's love for you. Would Jesus be popular if He were living on the earth today? How many followers would He have on social media? 

For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

On this podcast, we go through the Bible one chapter at a time. I love to read the Bible out loud. Many years ago, after I had my last child, I was feeling overwhelmed trying to balance it all. I remember seeking God about how I was feeling. He led me to start reading the Bible out loud. Everything changed once I prioritized reading the word of God out loud.

Today, we are studying the eleventh chapter of John. Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus that their brother Lazarus was sick. Instead of rushing back to heal Lazarus, Jesus sent a word back. He said, “This sickness will not end in death.”

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Today, we are studying the tenth chapter of John. The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. We should endeavor to look for any signs of theft and destruction that may be occurring in our lives. 

Today, we are studying the ninth chapter of John. In this portion of scripture, Jesus encountered a man who was born blind.  Our focus is on spiritual blindness. The issue with spiritual blindness is that it is hard to diagnose. The spiritually blind do not even know that they are living in spiritual blindness.

Today, we are studying the eighth chapter of John. In this portion of scripture, Jesus encountered a woman caught in the act of adultery. They said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such a woman, NOW WHAT DO YOU SAY?” In order words, how do you want us to judge her? Jesus did not come to judge but to save.

Your Time is Coming!

Today, we are studying the seventh chapter of John. Our focus is on the statement that Jesus' brothers made to him, "No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. We now live in a world that is currently obsessed with social media. We give others access to every part of our lives. It seems like many are fighting to be seen and acknowledged. We want our accolades. We want others to affirm us. We want to broadcast what God is doing in our lives. Stay in the cocoon of the Holy Spirit until God is ready to reveal you to the world.

Today, we are studying the sixth chapter of John. Our focus is on the feeding of the five thousand. Jesus asked, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?”  Jesus already had a plan. Sometimes we struggle because we want God to provide us with a detailed plan before we agree to trust Him.
