BREAKTHROUGH-Truth That Sets You Free

In this episode, hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel discuss Isaiah 43.

This beautiful passage addresses the tender way the Lord views His people, His presence with us in difficult times, His ability to do something new, and admonition to us to not dwell on the past, but look forward into the future with hope and faith.

God's Word is full of treasures to be mined, and Isaiah 43 is rich!

We are so excited to release the teaching that was shared at our most recent conference, entitled Breakthrough to Hearing the Voice of God, held this past November 2023!

This special release episode includes teaching by Breakthrough board-member, Magan Roach. Magan shares with our attendees about following the Voice of God in obedience once you discern what He is saying to you. Although obeying the Lord leads to fulfillment, it often requires a denial of self in the process. Magan brings the encouragement we need to push past our hesitation into an exciting life following the Lord's direction and voice.

Along the continuum of a Christian's life and spiritual formation come periods that can be characterized as a season of wrestling with God. As we are being matured and sanctified spiritually toward a more Christ-like appearance, we may have to grapple with deep theological questions, doubts, or even times when God doesn't feel near. This has been called a "dark night of the soul".

We loved having Allison Dalke on this episode to discuss her own periods of wrestling, how God faithfully showed up and deepened her faith and relationship with Him, and how these seasons have caused her to pursue spirit-led, God-sized dreams.

Allison is a deep well of wisdom and experience and knows the Lord intimately. You will love hearing from her!

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single most important event in human history. Because Jesus defeated death, hell, and the grave, we too can have victory in this life. Once a believer realizes that the same power that rose Jesus from the grave dwells within them, they become a powerful force for all that is good and true in the kingdom of God.

As believers, we may publicly celebrate Easter once a year, but we can choose to live in light of the resurrection every single day.

Listen as hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel discuss the events just before Jesus gave up His spirit on the cross and the moments following. He lives! The tomb is empty! Jesus has risen just as He said He would!

The moments leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ included immense suffering. As the Messiah prepared to offer His life as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity, he endured many trials, great physical pain at the hands of his accusers, and deep emotional and relational hardship. And yet, His love for us was so great, He did it willingly. Now, we that are in Him, live free.

In preparation to celebrate the Risen Christ this Easter season, contemplating the events surrounding the days before the public mocking and execution of Jesus will bring a deep sense of reverence and gratitude to the One who paid the ultimate price for our redemption.

Co-hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel these events in this episode.

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is foundational to the Christian faith. Without the cross, there is no Gospel. The Good News that we have been redeemed in right standing before God and can live free from the penalty of sin and death because of what Jesus did for us, is cause for contemplating and celebrating this Easter season.

Listen as hosts, Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel, discuss the trials that Jesus endured and the moments that led up to the crucifixion of our Lord in this episode.

The Holy Spirit has gifted some people specifically for the building up and training of the Body of Christ. These essential gifts are called the "Equipping Gifts", or are sometimes referred to as the "Five Fold Ministry Gifts". These gifts are introduced in the book of Ephesians, chapter 4, verses 11 through 13. They are as follows:

1. Apostles

2. Prophets

3. Evangelists

4. Pastors

5. Teachers

Listen as hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel discuss the descriptions of each of these gifts and give some modern-day examples of people operating in them. Christians need to be praying for those who feel called in this area.

1 Corinthians 12: 4-11 teaches us about the ways in which the Holy Spirit manifests Himself among people to make what is unseen, seen.

In this second part of the discussion on the Manifestation Gifts of the Holy Spirit, hosts Cynthia Huffmyer and Jenni Zabel talk about the working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues as listed in verses 8-10, and how God displays His power in our midst!

We pray this discussion fills you with awe of the glory of the Lord, and deepens your desire to experience and hunger for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, all while increasing your love for Him.

"Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel." 1 Corinthians 14:12
