The circumstances of this defeat felt particularly damaging as Brentford scored two late goals, the second of which came after Danilo had to come off due to injury, leaving the Reds with ten men. To add insult to injury, the winning goal was checked and Yoann Wissa was actually marginally onside. It had all felt so promising after Danilo had given the Reds the lead on the stroke of half-time.
