Dr. Stephen Davies, a historian, graduated from St Andrews University in Scotland and gained his Ph.D. in 1984. He is the Head of Education at the IEA and before that served as a program officer at the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University in Virginia. He has authored several books, including "Empiricism and History" and was co-editor of "The Dictionary of Conservative and Libertarian Thought".
