The most dangerous place to be in all the universe is the place where there is no grace.  Sadly so many people who follow Jesus don't get the way grace works.  So many are happy to be saved by grace, but then live by merit.  It is a wild piece of headspace but the truth is,  to be living in "grace-ville" there is no such thing as down - only up.

This series is based on some things that Paul said to the believers in Colossae.  He tells them that he is rejoicing in the suffering (in jail).  There are all kinds of different things that create hard times for people like us.  The issue is not to try and avoid them but to see how they can be so profoundly used by God that it gives us more than one reason to rejoice.

Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.  (Colossians 1:24)
