I know I’ve been talking a lot lately about the damage that is done to gay people through conservative religious beliefs, but I gotta say, this isn’t what I want to be all about. I want to slash I AM about the positive. I love highlighting all the good people out there who are loving and supporting gay people for who they are, that’s why I made Be Free :)

Wow, had to give an update on this one. This has got to stop. Or it has got to get better. Not for me, but for the poor kids still growing up believing their dirty and don’t deserve love because they’re gay. I think I specifically get passionate about this during pride season.

Yo, this is a tough topic for me. I do get pretty heated in this entry, but I just have so much pent up frustration around the fact that so many people are still okay with my rights as a human being diminished. It’s not okay. Churches/organizations that oppress the LGBTQ+ community should be clear about where they stand, and if you are an ally with the LGBTQ+ community, you should not follow their teachings any more than you would follow the teachings of a racist pastor- even if you agreed about everything they said except for their stance on race.

Kinda random, but I had to talk about Trump taking this drug. Lol. What a joke. Also, and more importantly, I’ve been meaning to talk about my GOALS, clearly defining them (SMART) and putting them somewhere where I can see them every day. So we dove into that!

Honestly, felt pretty crappy today. Which was weird because we had a great Be Free Stories Night last night. I think I was a little drained. My roomie owin came in and helped me remember that destructive behaviors are so tempting when we feel depressed, but doing something constructive (even though its hard to get the momentum) will usually make us feel a lot better. Oh and I sang a little of my new single :)
