Episode 007 - In which we talk to our friend Libby Stringer who works in a goldmine and owns tiny dogs. Her family has a strange obsession and we also talk about defective plungers, the strange joys to be found in an outhouse, and Jamie and Lou give synchronized thank yous.

Longtime friend and local musical and broadcasting legend Steve Nelson hosts us at his house this week, where we here why little fish prompted his move to Alaska in the mid 70s. We give Lou a call while he is on vacation in Hawaii - where he's got problems with his zip-offs. Jamie recounts his lowest point which surprisingly involves poo, and Andy is horrified by what Lou gave a coyote.

We once again have Marisa Capito on-board to talk about solid waste on Poo Corner. Sarah Lewis and Sean Boily tells us about the journey to become an Alaska architect–and how one of them decided that wasn't the thing they wanted to be. And we dismiss many of the long held best practices of human hygiene.

As our first episode we thought it would be good for people to hear a little about us, so we talk about where we come from, some family history, including Lou’s Civil War heritage, and Jamie’s lineage of Gypsy royalty. Juneau’s resident rockstar George Kuhar drops by and talks about his harrowing journey back to the living after a serious illness that was cured by a sacrifice from his beloved. Then its Poo Corner! when we get to talk about poo with a real poo expert from the solid waste treatment plant, Marisa Capito. Then we discuss the tallest people we have ever met, and we in general avoid the theme of what our show is supposed to be about.
