As we turn our eyes towards Good Friday and Easter, we stop to look at Jesus. When we see who He really is, it changes everything -- do you see Him?

The completion of the wall is marked by joy, gratitude, and celebration. Nehemiah 12 shows that God’s work deserves God-centered celebration. This closing message invites us to remember what the Lord has done, to rejoice together as His people, and to let our worship be a public testimony of His faithfulness.

Before God rebuilds a city, He rebuilds the hearts of the people who love it. In the opening of Nehemiah, we see a leader whose heart is broken for what breaks God’s heart. Very near to His death, Jesus told how His disciples should live until He returns. Jesus explains that He entrusts every disciple with resources--time, talent, and treasure--to be used for His purpose on earth. This is true for each of us and our question must be, "What can I do with what He has given me to make the difference He wants to see around me?"

Even when surrounded by a clamoring crowd, Jesus gave the best of His attention to the person who was most curious about Him. If we are going to live like Jesus, we must learn from His example and be willing to slow down and give attention to the people around us who show glimpses of openness and curiosity about Jesus, because our availability may be what God uses to change their eternity.
