Cs: Pod šedou zimní oblohou, kde Český Brod s Vltavou podpíral svou historii, se Marek procházel s Janou a Petrou po Karlově mostě.
En: Under the gray winter sky, where Český Brod with the Vltava supported its history, Marek was walking with Jana and Petra on Karlův most.

Cs: Marek měl sevřený žaludek.
En: Marek had a knot in his stomach.

Cs: Rozvod nedávno proběhl a rodinné návštěvy byly teď jiné.
En: The divorce had happened recently, and family visits were different now.

Cs: Chladný vítr hladil jejich tváře a most byl pokryt jemným sněhem.

Cs: Její slova ale odrážela bolest, kterou cítila.

Cs: Chtěla vyjádřit svou frustraci, ale nechtěla Marka ještě více zranit.
En: She wanted to express her frustration but didn't want to hurt Marek more.

Cs: Po chvíli ticha se Marek zastavil u zábradlí mostu.
En: After a moment of silence, Marek stopped at the bridge's railing.

Cs: „Holky,“ začal tiše, „vím, že to pro vás není lehké.
En: “Girls,” he began quietly, “I know this isn't easy for you.

Cs: Já taky cítím tu prázdnotu.
En: I feel the emptiness too.

Cs: Chci to napravit, ale nevím jak.“ Jana se připojila k Petro u zábradlí.
En: I want to fix it, but I don't know how.” Jana joined Petra at the railing.

Cs: „Tati, my víme.
En: “Dad, we know.

Cs: Není to tvoje vina, ale potřebujeme mluvit.
En: It's not your fault, but we need to talk.

Cs: Všichni.“ Petra si krátce odfrkla, ale v jejích očích byl zájem.
En: All of us.” Petra snorted briefly, but there was interest in her eyes.

Cs: „Proč to tak bolí?“ zašeptala.
En: “Why does it hurt so much?” she whispered.

Cs: „Protože rodina je důležitá,“ odpověděl Marek.
En: “Because family is important,” Marek replied.

Cs: V té chvíli nebylo důležité, co říká, ale že vůbec mluví.
En: At that moment, it wasn't essential what he said, but that he was speaking at all.

Cs: Stáli tam, obklopeni šumem turistů, a Marek hleděl na Vltavu.
En: They stood there, surrounded by the murmur of tourists, and Marek looked at the Vltava.

Cs: „Možná bychom měli zkusit nějakou pomoc.
En: “Maybe we should try to get some help.

En: Together.

Cs: Co říkáte na terapii?“ Petra tentokrát kývla, rozlámala obranu své vzpurnosti.
En: What do you think about therapy?” This time Petra nodded, breaking down the barriers of her defiance.

Cs: „Dobře, zkusíme to,“ řekla váhavě, ale přesto s rozhodností.
En: “Okay, let's try it,” she said hesitantly, yet with determination.

Cs: Jana se nadechla úlevou.
En: Jana breathed a sigh of relief.

Cs: „Nemusíme být dokonalí.
En: “We don't have to be perfect.

Cs: Jen zůstat spolu.“ Ticho ustoupilo smíchu tří těl, které se pomalu vrátilo.
En: Just stay together.” The silence gave way to laughter from the three bodies, slowly returning.

Cs: Karlův most, svědek historie, nyní sledoval nový začátek.
En: Karlův most, a witness to history, now observed a new beginning.

Cs: Marek se naučil, že být zranitelný je síla.
En: Marek learned that vulnerability is strength.
