  • SPECIAL Episode: GUEST HOST Thomas - age12, interviews Griffin - age 25

    A note from your hosts Stephanie Wolfe and Karen Johnson-Diamond;
This is a very special episode.
Thomas was our guest on the very first episode of this podcast and we checked in with him a year later on our one year anniversary episode. Last episode we met his sister Sadie - 10.

Now, with Stephanie opening  a show at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton (The Garneau Block, running until Oct 10th, www.citadeltheatre.com) what was Karen to do without her co-host? Ask Thomas, that's what!

And to make things even better, Thomas interviews Karen's own son Griffin.

    Magic!
    Rides to school!
    Really bad animation voice over!

  • A favorite re-released! Bob- Age 94!!

Earlier this year, Stephanie and Karen had the joy, pleasure, and honor to speak with Bob Stagg who is NINETY FOUR years old.

It's our most popular episode and we wanted to experience it again.   If you are revisiting this episode with us, have fun! If you haven't met Bob yet...you are in for a treat!

94 years old and a gigantic sense of humor.
    "I was a brain surgeon...but I failed"

When we asked him what the secret to his longevity was, he said "Just clean living...question mark?"

We would love to take Bob for a Martini some day.

  • Episode Thomas one year later!

It's our one year anniversary! An entire year has gone by since we met Thomas (our very first guest) at age 11. In this episode, Karen and Stephanie check in with Thomas one year later.  What's different now that he's 12? What's a cloud leopard? Who likes social studies? Line Dancing!

    Tuesday, Library Tuesday!

Sour Montana! (What?*)  I guess you'll have to listen in.

  • Episode Liam - 12 but juuusstt about 13, and Jack - 9 and a half.

In this episode Stephanie and Karen DO NOT TALK ABOUT POTATOS with two amazing brothers, Liam - age 12 (almost 13) and Jack, age 9 (and a half.) But we for sure talk about music, deserted islands and childhood injuries.  This might be one of our favorite podcast sign offs yet!

  • Episode Lexine - Age 7

Stephanie and Karen are trying to bridge the gap between generations who assume things about each other. Hence the title.  They've learned there are not as many gaps as everyone thinks, and the bridges kind of build themselves.

Take Lexine for example.  All she had to say was 'mango flavored cotton candy' and Karen and Steph could see that glorious bridge right there. Hear all about roll-y-poll-y bugs, and how she's learned to hack into her dad's tablet. Chinchillas! Subway! And a day out in a boat.

  • Episode Syd - Age 8

Stephanie and Karen know a little bit about video games. Syd knows a lot about video games.
Syd can whittle, Karen and Stephanie can talk about the Thermos for hours! Give it up for the Thermos! We three managed to bridge the gap more than once in this episode. Bagels and Dungeons and Dragons.
    Run Away From Mom!
    Hades!
    Nutella!
It's all here in our excellent conversation with eight-year-old Syd!

Things to help this episode make sense:
