We don't pay our taxes because the government does godly things. We pay our taxes because God is using the government (yes, even the ungodly things) to bring about His will. The government may not act in His will but God causes all things to work for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Mothers make mistakes, too. They need to remember that God makes all things work for the good of those who love Him. He straightens out the mistakes.

The rulers of our country are always under the authority of God regardless if they recognize it. They act on our behalf even if neither they nor we can see it. Our response is to respect these leaders and obey the laws until the injustice so overwhelms us that under the will of God we resist.

Romans 13 clearly states that a Christian should civic rulers. Does that mean that a Christian should herd people into ovens in a concentration camp? Does that mean that a Christian should give up his Bible when the government asks for it? Does that mean that a Christian should recant his faith when the government demands it? Many churches will comply with the government when persecution comes. They will refrain from their Christian witness. Will you?

Most sins don't define us. We get angry over something and say words that we regret. We get frustrated and act out of our frustration. However, when we have an animosity that we refuse to try and resolve, it will become us.

Did Jesus expect that the strong would run over the weak when He said that we should turn the other cheek? How can we have justice that doesn't all this to happen? What does all this have to do with honor? These are the questions this message answers.

I have heard people say that faith is believing in something that you know isn't true. However, there is evidence for faith in the resurrection. The evidence bases our faith on facts that can't be denied.

Jesus comes to us for salvation but that doesn't mean that this is the last time we will see Him. He continues to come to us through the Holy Spirit to convict and lead us to walk with God. We either respond or we ignore and act like He hasn't come to us. This coming to us is our time of visitation. Our obedience determines if we are walking with God.

What truly makes people beautiful? Is it their looks or their hearts? Christians should be better looking all the time. We become better looking by having God's purpose, being humble with others and never thinking we know more than everyone else.
