Chapter 9: Stealing Content is No Bueno! by Brianna Steele

As a mom, do you have single friends who feel the need to compare their hardships to yours? Who complains about the time you don’t have for them? Or who truly refuses to understand the what it is to be a mother?!? Quite frankly, you shouldn’t compete where you don’t compare. And if you don’t have kids you should never compare yourself to a mother. In Chapter 8, I share a story of a mother and a comment made by a single person. Considering I am a stay at home mom I am very bias in the matter. Listen as I discuss why you should never compare yourself to a mother nor discredit the job they do everyday. If you think life is hard now… have a kid and walk in our shoes. I’ve been both.

Have you ever been to therapy or have you considered going to a therapist? If not, what influenced you not to go? In Chapter 7, I address how important therapy is for the Black Community. “What happens in this house, Stays in this house,” is pure bullshit to me. I also share what inspired me to go to therapy as it relates to my family drama. We really need to get the conversation started and stop downplaying the importance of therapy in the black community.
