Our speakers discuss on the perception of mental healthcare and how the insurance and medical field can further improve awareness and address the stigma around it.

With increased awareness of mental health conditions, more people are looking for insurance plans that cover mental health issues. Although some insurers are witnessing an increase in demand for insurance policies that include mental health coverage, industry analysts say such options are still limited and are often inadequate. However, our Healthcare & Life Sciences Committee believe that there is progress in raising awareness and that we should work together as a nation to make Singapore a better place for mental health.

In this special edition of our In Conversation episodes, we are excited to bring you Abbie Eaton, racing driver in the W Series women's elite motorsport league. The W Series is a free-to-enter championship, launched in 2018, that provides equal opportunities for women and eliminates the financial barriers that have historically prevented them from progressing to the upper echelons of motorsport. W Series races appear in the racing calendar around the globe, including in Singapore this weekend. Abbie talked with our Executive Director, David Kelly about her driving journey, the obstacles she has faced including her back-breaking racing injury last October, and the success that comes with hard work and commitment.

In our latest In Conversation episode, Alvin Tan, Assistant CEO of the Industry Cluster Group for JTC, discusses the upcoming developments and foreseeable future for Jurong Innovation District and Punggol Digital District with our Executive Director, David Kelly.

Alvin points out that its no longer just about providing land and building, but to play the role of an ecosystem builder to really connect the dots and bring projects together. Cybersecurity is the protection of internet-connected systems such as hardware, software and data from cyberthreats. The practice is used by individuals and enterprises to protect against unauthorized access to data centers and other computerized systems.

Richard Koh, Chief Technology & Security Officer, Microsoft Singapore, discussed with Daisy Radford of the ICT Committee how we can educate both individuals from a society and community perspective, but also at the organisational level for cybersecurity threats. Our guest shares how to strengthen the foundation with the people of Singapore to protect themselves from scammers and cyber criminals who are constantly adapting and growing just to retrieve private confidential data.
