Welcome back to the conclusion of the message from Luke 4: 38-44 entitled “Dealing With Disease”.    Even when I understand that God uses sickness for His own glory, I still struggle with the idea of how to live that out. As we continue to learn how a believer Deals with Disease, let’s turn to the Scriptures to find some appropriate and practical responses.

Sometimes, even someone as strong as Elijah mishandles it, but sometimes people seek out a greater source of strength in the Lord and learn to handle those threats properly.

In this study, we are seeing the people in Jesus’ own hometown saying no to Him – violently saying no to Him. And we get to see how He responds. If you’ve ever been rejected, you will be encouraged by Jesus’ great example.

One of the greatest moments in life is when you share Christ with someone and they give their hearts to Jesus right then and there. One of the saddest moments in life is when you share Christ with someone and they say no to Him. Rejecting Jesus is not new, but it still hurts in a fresh way. Today we get to see how and why the people in Jesus’ own hometown said no to Him.

I guess it really is a good question to ask a mischievous child, but it is also a good question to consider what is Jesus doing in our world. Our Messiah was sent here on a mission, that's the question we explore today.
