And sadly, threats are a part of this life. We need to know how to handle those situations, and sometimes we learn how TO DO something by seeing how NOT to do it from someone else’s example.

Welcome back to the second part of the message from Luke 4: 22-30 entitled “Seeing Is Not Believing”.  When someone rejects Jesus, it is heartbreaking. In this study, we are seeing the people in Jesus’ own hometown saying no to Him – violently saying no to Him. And we get to see how He responds. If you’ve ever been rejected, you will be encouraged by Jesus’ great example.

One of the greatest moments in life is when you share Christ with someone and they give their hearts to Jesus right then and there. One of the saddest moments in life is when you share Christ with someone and they say no to Him. Rejecting Jesus is not new, but it still hurts in a fresh way. Today we get to see how and why the people in Jesus’ own hometown said no to Him.

The Bible says that Jesus came into this world to save sinners.  That is always the thrust of what He is doing in our world.

If i've heard it once from my mom I've heard it a hundreds of times:  What in the world are you doing? I guess it really is a good question to ask a mischievous child, but it is also a good question to consider what is Jesus doing in our world. Our Messiah was sent here on a mission, that's the question we explore today.

A gospel tract is a great tool in the hand of a witness.  A tract presents the truth of the gospel in such a way that a person might understand their need for a Savior and turn to Jesus.
