The indie brewery’s new three-storey location in the former Franco Cozzo building is Wild West themed. There’ll also be a pianola bar, Americana-influenced food and a Blues Brothers-inspired bar with a stage for country and western musical acts. Enter Meatsmith: Home Cooking for Friends and Family, the new cookbook from Andrew McConnelland Troy Wheeler, owners of premium Melbourne butcher Meatsmith.In it, they share more than 80 recipes all about doing justice to a good cut of meat regardless of whether it’s a side or the main event. Troy joins Around Town to chat about his time in the industry, developing a concept and home cooking.

It’s easy to miss Muli. There isn’t much else on the block. It doesn’t have a big shopfront to draw your gaze. Just one small sign, some light jazz music humming from the speakers and colourful rosebushes out the front. Having opened in late winter, the seafood and oyster-centric Carlton restaurant has already made a big splash. Plus, a nostalgic (Vegan) milk bar with serious sandwiches and country-bakery staples opens in Carlton North.

It all started with a stolen razor. Well, several really. Rebecca Harding would use her boyfriend's razor for its simpler and superior design. She quickly realised that women's grooming products were falling short in functionality. Enter Lui: a body-care brand that aims to elevate your everyday routine. For the past three years, Harding has worked alongside beauty writer and brand expert Ingrid Kesa to bring two products to life—a razor and shaving cream. The response has been immense. Rebecca and Ingrid join 'Around Town' to discuss building a brand, working with young Melbournian women to develop the formulations, and Lui's range of new products launching this week.
