Luke 24:13-35 is the beautiful account of the Risen Jesus meeting two of His disciples on their way back to Emmaus. Here our Jesus demonstrates a great teaching, based on Moses and the Prophets, showing them the reality of the Messiah, who "had to suffer these things and enter into His glory".

Pastor Ryan shares how this reality, that this resurrection power, is real, and through this Great Salvation power "sad things will become untrue".

Our Worship Pastor Luke Ash delivers our message today, using John 20:19-31 as the Scripture for study. Thomas doubted in a time of despair and challenge. Like him, this unpredictable season can generate great worry and doubt, and perhaps even doubting the Lord's ability to carry us through this time. from this passage, Pastor Luke has two messages: a warning to the doubter, and a clear call to mercy, in that Jesus comes with peace, Jesus comes with evidence, and jesus comes for a clear call to decision.

As BCC prepares to re-congregate, Pastor Ryan asks the question of what that would look like, both corporately and individually. What does going "back to normal" look like, especially if we have been paying attention to what our Lord has been trying to teach us during these past days of pandemic challenge? We look at John 21:1-15, where Peter tried to go "back to normal". But Jesus had better, bigger plans for him! As He has for each of us! Are we prepared to forsake what was once our routine, and follow Him into new orders? Jesus asked Peter, and asks us now: "do you love Me more than these?"

Pastor Ryan teaches us a cardinal encouragement regarding our future, our hope in the risen Lord Jesus - He is risen incarnate! We learn, in the testimony of Luke 24: 36-48, that He appeared in bodily form to the disciples, not a ghost, not a spirit-He ate, and laughed, and fellowshipped! When we are made perfect, we will not distance-gather, but be REAL, as our bodily form is so blessed by our Risen Lord!

Mary was searching for the crucified Christ, and instead met her Risen Savior! And He called her by name! Jesus never forgets, nor leaves us, says Pastor Symps as he encourages us with the Scripture's report of Mary's heartfelt moment in John 20:11-18.

Pastor Ryan selects an unusual passage of Scripture for our Easter message: Eccles. 3:1-11. Here explained by the Teacher is the life reality that there is a time and a season for many things, all are subject by the limitations, of time, of death, and of sin. Yet God has placed (the yearning for) eternity in our hearts. It is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ that makes all things transcend the limitations of this world, to make all things beautiful, in this and all seasons!

Pastor Symps leads us in an exhortational contemplation of Psalm 42, where the writer, deep in emotional and physical distress, yearns for the protective and saving cradling of God's providential arms. rough this, the writer, and us in turn, learn that faith in God is never unrequited, but always sustained - our God is an Awesome God in the midst of all turmoil!

Pastor Ryan continues to look at the Gospel of John, Chapter 15:1-17. Last week we were taught of Christ being the true Vine, and how He prunes us for fruitfulness. Today we look at what abiding in Christ looks like, and how to ask the Spirit to help us attack and defeat the sinful obstacle of hurrying.

Pastor Ryan shares a sermon with us, produced remotely for the safety of all during this time of COV-19 pandemic crisis. God can use this! He desires to make us deeper and better during this time of great disruption, and to model that "perfect Love casts out fear". Pastor Ryan leads us through John 15:1-17, wanting us to use this precious time to:

1) abide in Christ's Love

2) submit to His pruning that God wants to do for us.

We adjust our schedule of studies in the Book of Matthew to address a real and compelling concern for today's world, the Coronavirus pandemic. Through a study of Philippines 4, Pastor Ryan encourages us to remember our calling in Christ - now, at this season of fear and panic, we, Christ's Church, can rely on Him for our courage and peace that surpasses all understanding, and be free to minister to our community in our time of crisis. Jesus Himself can heal and ease our fears!
