As Jesus entered into Jerusalem, He declared to Israel "I am your King! And I am not like any other King you have seen before!" Pastor Ryan shares how Jesus the Son of God can (and will) establish the only True Peace as no other king can, and explains that, while the Jews were looking for a modern-day Judas Maccabeus, instead they could have had their Messiah! Luke 19:28-40 is our Biblical focus for this Palm Sunday service.

When Jesus is asked a good question, He answers directly! Such is the result of the disciples' request, "Lord, teach us to pray". To be poor in spirit is to declare your utter dependence on God for your spiritual existence, and the poor in spirit's primary action is to PRAY. Luke 11:1-13 is the Biblical focus to this explanation of this Kingdom citizen cardinal attitude.

From Matthew. 19 and 20, we glean several parables that Jesus shared to strengthen the spiritual truth: "the leader must be a servant." Pastor Ryan expounds on the little children coming to Jesus, the rich, young ruler and the vineyard owner.

BCC member David Swineheart serves as our guest speaker for today. He provides a fresh, culturally-emphasized perspective on hidden truths found in this most famous of parables, the Prodigal Son. Luke 15: 11-32 is our Biblical focus for today.

Continuing our subseries on Kingdom Community, Pastor Ryan shares about Jesus' focus on transforming the citizen's heart, the disciples and US, so that our nature is to DO good works - to be good is to surrender totally to the Holy Spirit, to the Father's plan for His Kingdom. Passages from Luke 6, Ephesians 2, and James 1 are the focus today.

In Matthew 7:13-27, there are two roads, two trees, and two houses - in each one fails, one endures. Indicative of jesus' calling, there are two responses: total committment, to total denial - there is no third choice! Pastor Ryan shares about Jesus' moment in His ministry when He set His face towards Jerusalem, and did so unwavering-like Him, we count the cost of discipleship before deciding to follow Him. Matthew 13:44-51 is also used as our Scripture focus today.

In God's Kingdom community, His children hear the Word ...and obey! Pastor Ryan leads us through an instruction on the parables of the sower and the Lamp under the bushel, and the very definition of God's family that can be learned fro them. Luke 8 is the scriptural focus of our lesson for today.

After experiencing a snow cancellation last week, Broadway is back to learning the things of God's plan for His Kingdom, on earth as it is in Heaven! Pastor Rick teaches us from Luke 8:26-59, the story of the demoniac in the Gerasenes, of the healing of the woman, and Jairus' daughter. Jesus found a maniac, but left a missionary!

Pastor Ryan asks the question "what a "Kingdom community" would look like?" How would Jesus display His kingdom to His children, and to others who are not His children? How do we exemplify His Kingdom work IN us to others? We explore portions of Luke 8 for these answers and more!

Pastor Ryan concentrates on passages from Mark to emphasize the role of Jesus and the Kingdom of God in God's great plan for His world. The sermon highlights the definition (and purpose) of His kingdom: God's people, living in God's place, under God's reign. Again, His Kingdom is not meant for just future hope, but present promise.
