Pastor Rick Uses the life example of Joshua' assault on the walls of Jericho as a spiritual "call to arms' that every believer must take as they endeavor to make Jesus Lord of all in their lives. Joshua 5:13-6:5 is our Scripture passage for today, as Pastor Rick uses this passage from God's Word to teach us to "practice the presence of God", to "obey the commands of Christ" and to "fight spiritually", taking the battle to the enemy!

In this sermon, Pastor Ryan delivers a powerful message on God's plan to create a nation of priests, a "holy nation" that would, day by day, demonstrate to the world how a people lives to "be holy as I Am Holy". This plan is continued in Christ's Church, as Peter, in God's Word, declares the believer to be a part of this priestly nation. Exodus 19:1-6 and I Peter 2:9,10 are today's scripture references.

"Somebody has to be done with Egypt and Pharaoh, and somebody must want to start with God!" Such conveys the reflection of the Exodus as provided by Pastor Rick, comparing Israel's need to be done with Egypt with our spiritual need to be done with sin, and how Satan hates for us to make such complete and utter breaks with our past nature. Do we waste time by lingering with sin? Or do we win ground by making a total allegiance with God's will and plan for our lives? Exodus 5:13-6:5 is our scripture reflection for today.

Pastor Ryan leads us on a whirlwind conclusion of Genesis, but emphasizes the life of Joseph, with its tests, lessons and convictions, as the main point of today's sermon. The spiritual reality of God's ability and practice to take "that which was meant for evil" and turning it into a good that serves His will and plan is epitomized in Joseph's life, and represents a divine attribute of our Father's character that culminates in the work of the cross of our Savior Jesus. The latter chapters of Genesis are today's scripture focus; a prepared media presentation also assists in presenting the Genesis overview in preparation for Joseph's story.

Pastor Ryan speaks today of Abraham, the chosen patriarch through which God inevitably extended His righteous blessings onto all nations. We hear of the calling and promises to Abraham, how Jesus fulfills Abraham's initial calling, and through this our own call to obedience and call to mission. Genesis 12 is the focal chapter of scripture for this sermon.

The last in a series of four sermons (6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20) that deals specifically with man's act of disobeying God and His mission for the world. We continue our "macro" series on the Bible and God's Mission, with the topic of the Tower of Babel. Pastor Ryan speaks to the great divergence between Babel's goals and God's goals, our technology and God's purposes, and ultimately, God's great work to reverse the curse of Babel that continues to stain and plague us all. Genesis 11:1-9 are the featured verses for today.

Pastor Cochran continues the sub-series on man's fall and rebellion against God's plan for His creation. Today the fabled hero Noah and the account of God's judgement on a grieviously sinful world through the flood. We hear in His Word that God is not a diffident or dissmissive God, but One who is keenly involved in His creation and cares deeply of its relation to Him, using the flood and Noah to revitalize His divine purpose for us and our (His) world. Pastor Harris continues our sub-series on the Fall and events demonstrating man's sin and failure to answer the call to God's mission and plan for the world. Today we are on Cain and Abel, begging such soul-searching reflections as: what sacrifice is worthy of God's acceptance? Is your heart Abel-rependent or Cain-defiant? Is your conduct in league with God's mission for His world or in rebellion to it? We explore Genesis 4 in this sermon.

Pastor Cochran begins a small 4-part subset contained within our series on the "Bible and God's Mission", dealing more specifically with the Fall and significant demonstration's of man's sin and failure to answer the call to God's mission and plan for the world. Today we deal with the original fall, Adam and Eve's initial sin that plummeted mankind into a desperate need for redemption. Even in judgement God demonstrates His mercy and promise for salvation, and His continued intent for His will to be done! Genesis 2 and 3 are the focus.

Pastor Cochran focuses on God's demonstrative glory in work, not only His work, but our call to labor with Him in the joy and honor of co-creation in His name. What does Genesis say about work?
