On this episode of the Broadway Gives Back podcast, we have two crazy talented and very passionate guys as our guests - Robin de Jesús and Ryan Morales.
Robin de Jesús is a film and theater actor best known for playing roles in the Broadway musicals In the Heights, La Cage aux Folles, and in The Boys in the Band, which earned him three Tony Award nominations. He also starred in the film adaptation of The Boys in the Band on Netflix. He was in the mini-series Welcome to Chippendales and the film tick, tick... BOOM!, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, for which he received massive critical acclaim. Robin has a reputation of being one of Hollywood’s and Broadway’s hardest-working actors who always delivers.
Ryan Morales is an actor, a singer, a producer, an activist and the Founder & Producing Artistic Director of Latiné Musical Theatre Lab, an organization that develops and advocates for new Latiné-written works of musical theatre. His mission is to radically change who gets to tell musical stories on stages across the country and around the world. Ryan has a passion for telling stories about men who find strength in their vulnerability - not shame. Stories that elevate the Latiné and LGBTQ+ experience beyond the boundaries they typically exist in.

So first, Let’s “Let it go” for Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy award-winning, Kristen Anderson-Lopez. Kristen is best known for her work from Frozen, Coco, In Transit, Up Here and Finding Nemo. Kristen is also very involved in two important organizations… Brooklyn Children’s Theatre and Maestra Music. Speaking of Maestra… we will also be talking to multiple award winning music director, composer, lyricist, pianist, and music producer, Georgia Stitt, who started Maestra Music to provide support, visibility, and community to the women and nonbinary people who make the music in musical theatre— and now together with Lin-Manuel Miranda, they are developing and managing the RISE Theatre Directory which is helping to build a more equitable and inclusive theatre industry.
