We rise from the dead after a little more than three days to talk about the chilled out vibes and goofy gags of the 2013 slice of afterlife anime film Saint Young Men. Not to be controversial, but Jesus and Buddha seem like pretty cool guys.
It's our annual Oscars short episode, and all that anyone is talking about from this year's Oscars is the phenomenal short film The Long Goodbye (2020).
Strap on your thinking cap, or at least your willing suspension of disbelief cap, and join us on our foray into the 2004 classic mind-bendy time travel movie Primer. A movie that asks the age-old question: would you throw away a method of easily earning millions of dollars for the chance to punch your boss in the face once?
We will have as many sub-series as we can come up with catchy titles for. Mostly we just wanted an excuse to talk about how fun these guys are.
Join us this week as we unearth another lost favorite from our childhood and promptly discover we have forgotten basically all of the 1987 children's(?) animated classic The Chipmunk Adventure. Funny that we both remember it being called The Great Chipmunk Adventure when the movie itself is anything but great.
When there's trouble you watch an episode of an old cartoon.
Join us for a return to business as usual this week as we are taken for a ride by the 1995 gross-out horror(?) comedy(???) classic Ice Cream Man. Make sure you have some ice cream before you watch it, cause afterwards you'll never want to again.
The stand is big, but the movie is short. Bidoof's Big Stand (2022).
We're starting this season of the show off with a bang, and then several more bangs, and then basically like an hour of bangs and booms and pows as we check out the 1992 John Woo shoot 'em up Hard Boiled. Not to be confused with the type of egg.
Ho ho ho, Merry Shitmas! A Christmas in Vermont (2016).
