Moses goes back up to mount Sinai but this time he has to hew out the two stones and carry them up for God to write on them . This is a contrast from the first tablets which were both provided to moses by God and written on by God . As He talks with God he proclaims his name to Moses, and at the hearing of that name Moses falls down to worship.

Moses Speaks with god as a man speaks to his friend which is completely astonishing. Moses upon his request to see God in his fullness learns no man can see God in this manner and live.

The children of Israel are at the crossroads of mercy and judgment, and it is indeed a bitter sweet pill.

Upon returning from mount sinai Moses is very displeased at what he finds. The children of Israel have sold themselves to idolatry in the time Moses was on sinai talking with God, and judgment comes.

Moses has a discussion with God and makes intercession to God for the people, appealing for mercy.

With all The blessings and all the victory the children of Israel go astray, Worshiping the creation instead of the creator. This is a great example to the rest of us to know what not to do, we must however consider the Hebrew people without the pious looking glass.

God Provides Moses with skilled workers to construct the tabernacle as laid out by the instructions given on mount Sinai.
