There is a prevailing thought that people are generally good. This would imply that given the opportunity to choose  most would choose righteousness as established by God over sin.

After realizing I skipped a chapter I return back to cover Exodus chapter 24, Moses goes up to talk with God for 40 days and 40 nights.

God gives very specific instructions for the pattern by which to make the tabernacle and the ark of the covenant.
