Brothers Just Searching

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we begin a brand-new series on the book of 2 Peter, diving deep into chapter 1, verses 1–4. We explore how this final letter from the Apostle Peter—written to churches in Asia Minor before his martyrdom—reveals his powerful message of faith, devotion, and perseverance. The discussion highlights Peter’s use of similar language to Paul in Romans 1, describing himself as both a slave and an apostle of Christ, called to serve through divine purpose. We also examine the “precious faith” believers share through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, the divine power granted to us for godly living, and the promise of eternal life in heaven. Finally, we reflect on how Christians are called to rise above a corrupt, self-centered world to pursue the true pleasure found only in Christ.Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review If You Like To donate to this podcast you can through cashapp or email us at [email protected] for more infoAnything is appreciated Cashapp infoBJSmediaThis podcast is brought to you by BJS MEDIA. In this Sermon Monday message from Brothers Just Searching, Pastor Rodney of The Bridge Fellowship in Breaux Bridge shares a powerful word about obedience and the true calling of the church. Drawing from 1 Corinthians, Revelation 3, and the Great Commission, he challenges believers to examine their hearts—are we hot or cold, or have we become lukewarm in our faith? Pastor Rodney reminds us that the call to share the gospel is not a suggestion but a command from Jesus Himself. With passion and grace, he urges the church to rise up, fulfill its mission, and bring both the soothing and refreshing power of the gospel to a lost and hurting world. This podcast is brought to you by BJS MEDIA. In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we conclude our in-depth study of 1st Peter by reflecting on the powerful themes of God’s grace and sovereignty. We discuss how believers are saved through His grace, yet when we turn away from it, our hearts can become hardened. The conversation then turns to God’s ultimate dominion over the world and His control over every circumstance we face. We also explore Peter’s final greetings to Silas and examine the significance of Peter’s presence in Babylon rather than Rome. To wrap up, we share our favorite moments and insights from our journey through the entire book of 1st Peter, celebrating the lessons and encouragement it has brought to our faith.

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, the hosts study 1 Peter 5:5–9 and discuss the importance of humility, submission, and vigilance in ministry. They explore how men and women who serve under a pastor should humbly submit to his leadership when he preaches the true Word of God, resisting pride and maintaining a servant’s heart. The conversation encourages believers not to seek to overthrow their pastor but to trust in God’s timing and divine order, knowing He will place each person where they belong. The hosts also highlight Peter’s call to be sober and vigilant, reminding listeners that the enemy is always seeking to deceive and destroy those who stand for the truth of the Gospel. Ultimately, victory comes through faith in Christ and Him crucified, as we take comfort in knowing that all who stand for Jesus share in the same spiritual struggle—and the same hope.

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we open the Scriptures to 1 Peter 5:1–4 and dive into the calling and responsibilities of a pastor. We discuss both the pitfalls that pastors are warned to avoid, as well as the godly duties they are called to embrace as shepherds of God’s people. Together, we explore how true leadership in the church is not about power or personal gain, but about serving willingly, humbly, and faithfully. And as Peter reminds us, when pastors follow the Lord’s guidelines, they are promised a crown of glory that will never fade away.

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we dive into 1 Peter 4:12–19 and reflect on the reality of trials in the Christian life. Scripture reminds us not to be surprised when suffering comes, but to rejoice when it is for Christ’s sake, knowing that such trials bring blessing and strengthen our faith. We discuss the importance of glorifying God in suffering, resisting the shame the world tries to attach to following Jesus, and ensuring we are not accused for wrongdoing but only for righteousness. We also examine how judgment begins at the house of God, addressing the seriousness of sin within the church, and we give a sobering warning of the eternal judgment awaiting unbelievers. Finally, we encourage believers who are enduring hardship to entrust their souls to God, remaining faithful and committed to doing good.Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review If You Like To donate to this podcast you can through cashapp or email us at [email protected] for more infoAnything is appreciated Cashapp infoBJSmediaThis podcast is brought to you by BJS MEDIA. In this sermon titled Kingdom Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, Anthony Hayes unpacks the story of how the Queen of Sheba heard of Solomon’s great wisdom and traveled far to see for herself. Just as she sought out the truth she had only heard about, we too are called to hear the good news of Jesus and pursue Him with sincerity and faith. Pastor Hayes draws a powerful parallel between her journey and our own need to seek Christ, reminding us that true wisdom and life are found in Him alone.Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review

In this week’s episode of Sermon Mondays, Bowen Robin delivers a powerful message titled “Is the Church Ready for Jesus to Return?” Drawing from Matthew 25, he challenges believers to examine whether they are living like the wise virgins who faithfully waited for the bridegroom, or like the foolish ones who were caught unprepared. With urgency and clarity, Bowen reminds us that Jesus is coming again, and the Church must awaken, stay watchful, and be ready for His return.Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review #bible #biblestudy #faith #jesus #god

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we grapple with the sudden death of Charlie Kirk—his legacy, his faith, and the mark he left on both the Christian community and the broader cultural battlefield. We examine how his bold debates weren’t just contests of ideas but platforms to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ. Beyond mourning, we explore how to carry on his mission: sharing the gospel in our own ways, being fearless in conviction, and trusting that through Him, not us, lives are changed. This episode is both a tribute and a call: for believers to step up, to speak truth in love, and to ensure that the message of Christ continues to echo around the world.

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we dive into 1 Peter 4:7-11 and explore the true meaning behind Peter’s words on Christian living. We discuss how love truly covers a multitude of sins, the importance of showing hospitality to fellow believers without grumbling, and how the church should focus on edifying and building up rather than tearing down. We also emphasize that every believer has been given gifts from God, and those gifts are meant to be used in service to others for His glory. Finally, we reflect on the vital call to preach the Word of God—not our opinions—so that everything we do points back to Jesus Christ and not ourselves.https://fntchurch.org/?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwMI1mpleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHnrOKsJFBYZJzp-yY6JMAaQFLpm4PErP0dsGNUo_NhUaMiJa6FwZCXC3CTXm_aem_A8uc1aaDo6CPgoFC3ZfQAADon’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review If You Like To donate to this podcast you can through cashapp or email us at [email protected] for more infoAnything is appreciated Cashapp infoBJSmediaThis podcast is brought to you by BJS MEDIA.
