Brothers Just Searching

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we dive into 1 Peter 4:1-7 and discuss what it means for Christ to have come in the flesh, addressing how some religions and cults deny this truth and how to respond to those arguments. We also explore the call to have the same mind as Christ, recognizing that just as He suffered, we too are called to suffer for His sake. As Christians, we are transformed to turn away from sin and no longer live like the world, which may cause others to see us as different or even attack us—but Scripture reminds us that God will hold people accountable. Ultimately, this passage points us back to the hope we have in preaching Jesus, because even when people fail or do wrong, Christ is the one who brings forgiveness.

In this week’s Monday Sermon, Brother Aron Prevost shares a powerful message from Galatians 5:18-25 titled “Submission.” Drawing from personal experience, he teaches the importance of crucifying our flesh daily to the Lord and walking by the Spirit. Aron highlights how living a life of true submission not only transforms us but also impacts those around us—leading others to Christ and encouraging fellow believers in their walk of faith.Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we dive deep into 1 Peter 3:18–22 and unpack several important theological topics. We begin by looking at how Christ’s sacrifice was once and for all—contrasting this with the teachings of certain religions that portray Jesus as dying repeatedly through ritual acts.

We also explore the debated passage about “spirits in prison,” addressing the popular theory that fallen angels had relations with women to produce nephilim and giants. While some hold to that view, we share why we don’t believe that interpretation, and instead affirm that Christ proclaimed victory to those who looked forward to Him as the promised Messiah.

Finally, we discuss the subject of water baptism. Is baptism essential for salvation? We explain why Scripture teaches salvation is by faith in Christ alone, and how requiring baptism for salvation is, in effect, adding to the finished work of Christ.

Join us as we examine this rich passage and point to the hope, victory, and sufficiency of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Anthony Hayes delivers a powerful sermon on the meaning of the temple, showing how it points us to Christ and reveals the depth of God’s plan. He explains how every part of the temple symbolizes Jesus—His presence, His sacrifice, and His role as the dwelling place of God among His people. By looking at the temple through the lens of Scripture, Pastor Anthony helps us see how it was always meant to foreshadow Christ and invite us into a deeper relationship with Him.

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we dive into 1 Peter 3:13-18 and discuss the reality of persecution that believers face for their faith in Christ. The world does not love Christ as Christians do, but Scripture reminds us that we are blessed, because our hope and eternal home is in Him. We encourage listeners not to be troubled by opposition, but to turn to prayer and allow the Lord to strengthen and comfort through His Word. As Peter teaches, we must be ready to give an answer for our faith, and when others try to tear us down, our response should reflect Christ. In the end, it is not the faithful who will be put to shame, but those who stand against the truth of the gospel.FNT Encourage Conferencehttps://fntchurch.org/?fbclid=IwQ0xDSwMI1mpleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHnrOKsJFBYZJzp-yY6JMAaQFLpm4PErP0dsGNUo_NhUaMiJa6FwZCXC3CTXm_aem_A8uc1aaDo6CPgoFC3ZfQAADon’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review If You Like To donate to this podcast you can through cashapp or email us at [email protected] for more infoAnything is appreciated Cashapp infoBJSmediaThis podcast is brought to you by BJS MEDIA. Bro. Bowen Robin, in his sermon The Prodigal Son, teaches from Matthew 13 as he unpacks the powerful story of wandering away from God and the grace of returning to Him. He reminds us that, like the prodigal, believers may at times be drawn to the world, thinking it offers something better, only to find emptiness at the end of that path. Yet in God’s love and mercy, we discover that we were always better off in His presence, and no matter how far we have strayed, our Heavenly Father waits to welcome us back with open arms.Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review

In this episode of Brother Just Searching, we open 1 Peter 3:8-12 to uncover what it means for believers to be united in one mind—the mind of Christ centered on the preaching of the cross. We discuss the importance of showing compassion and love to those who are lost, why avoiding fruitless spiritual debates protects our witness, and the incredible truth that our real blessing is our eternal inheritance in Heaven. We also share how the starting point for God hearing our prayers is receiving Jesus as Savior.

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we dive into 1 Peter 3:1–7 to explore the biblical roles of husbands and wives, focusing on what it means for a wife to be submissive to her husband. We discuss how a believing wife can be a light to her unbelieving husband through her actions and character, potentially leading him to the Lord without a word. We then shift focus to the husband’s responsibilities—to live with his wife in understanding and honor. Ultimately, we emphasize that while roles in marriage differ, men and women are equal in value before God, and neither is superior in His eyes.

In his sermon Ears to Hear, Brother Stephen Theriot draws from Matthew 13:9-17 to remind us of the vital importance of truly listening to the Lord. He explains that for believers, hearing God’s voice is essential to walking in holiness and living a life set apart for Him, while for nonbelievers, it is the first step toward salvation—responding to the call of Jesus as Savior. With clarity and urgency, Brother Theriot shows that when we open our hearts and ears to God’s Word, we allow Him to guide, transform, and lead us into the abundant and holy life He desires for us.Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review If You Like To donate to this podcast you can through cashapp or email us at [email protected] for more infoAnything is appreciated Cashapp infoBJSmediaThis podcast is brought to you by BJS MEDIA.
