Hello, all! I hope you’ve been doing well.
Today, we’re going to talk about something that’s near and dear to my heart: mental health. I truly believe that Jesus and therapy go together really when you find that your mental health needs a bit of a tune-up. I share some things I did this summer to try to get me out of a bit of a slump.
If you’re in Beijing and you’re interested in finding a therapist here, I have contact information for three spoken for therapists. If you’re outside of Beijing, I’d be happy to see if I can help with finding resources to meet you where you are. Either way, feel free to send me a DM on IG.
As always, I would love to hear how I can make this a better experience for you.

Hello All! Welcome to Episode 6 of the BGIB Podcast!
On this episode, we talk a bit about my church life. This episode is just an introduction, really, as I fully intend to show you more of my church life as this podcast progresses.
Church has always been a big part of my life because of the relationships I’ve been able to form over the years. I’ve lived in Grand Bahama (The Bahamas), New Providence (The Bahamas), Virginia (USA), and now Beijing (China) and in each place I’ve been able to be connected with a church home. If you have more questions about the church’s impact on my life, feel free to reach out and let me know!

See you next time!

Hello Gotham!
In today’s episode (episode 5), we discuss being a ninja, a dog foster, a cat owner, and an ears collector. What do these things have in common? Me!!! I’m so versatile!
When I start to talk about the ears, it's probably better to hop on over to YouTube to catch a glimpse of em. No pressure, though!
We’re two episodes away from the Season Finale and what a ride this has been so far!
Thank you for reaching out to me with your questions and topic suggestions. I welcome them all. Feel free to comment or DM me via IG/Twitter.

Hello Beautiful People!
Welcome to Episode 3 of the Brown Girl in Beijing Podcast! On this episode, I talk about the struggle of learning Chinese, what eating here is like (the restaurant’s name is 和合谷- hé hé gǔ), what shopping is like and what the general cost of living in Beijing is.
Spoiler alert: much cheaper than at home in The Bahamas!
Watch and listen to find out how much I pay for electricity and water on a monthly basis. It might surprise you!

Disclaimer: Episode 2 is not as light and fun as the first. Although there are some laughable moments, the energy is noticeably different.
This episode covers a bit of what it feels like to be a Black woman in Beijing. I share some of my experiences pre-COVID-19 and after the initial outbreak. I tried my best to make this as coherent as possible and I hope it translates as such.
If it did resonate with you even a little, consider a like, share, comment, or subscription.

Welcome to my first episode! It’s been two and a half years in the making but I’m finally here to share about my experiences in Beijing.
This first episode is on dating in Beijing. I cover a bit of my background as well as my dating history prior to being here. I think it’s pretty compelling stuff, but that’s for you to decide, lol.
THANKS FOR LISTENING!!!
