Everyone thinks anxiety is a bad thing. If you really want to cure your anxiety then you need to get one thing straight. Anxiety is not a bad thing. it is not something to run away from. anxiety is to the mind what pain is to the body. anxiety exists for the purposes of showing us that something is happening within our minds. It asks not for our condemnation but for our attention to heal deep parts of ourselves. Stop seeing it is as a bad omen and rather a tool, a mirror, an opportunity to improve yourself. Anxiety is not our enemy it is our friend.

Here are 5 simple ways you can conquer it ON YOUR OWN! The greatest part about these methods are they are accessible and free for EVERYONE regardless of their situation. So whether you're in lockdown or do not have the financial means to seek professional help at the moment, here are some things that you can do! I am not a Mental Health Professional or a Psychologist, these are methods that have worked phenomenally for me and are safe with no harm done trying, but please if you are struggling PLEASE always seek professional mental health advice.

Today we are joined by Julitha Amara, an artist, model and baker with one of the most complex cultural identity stories I have ever come across. Julitha was a Sri Lankan born orphan baby, whisked away to a new life and home in Melbourne Australia and assimilated into a white family. Later in her adolescence, Julitha ran away from home and was socially adopted by an African family and assimilated into the black community. When she entered into her adult years, she underwent a DNA test that revealed she also had some indigenous blood in her, which lead her to learn about her indigenous heritage. The circumstances of her life's journey have lead her to accumulate a variety of difficult question marks, which she explains how she managed to mentally balance and reconcile in this week's episode.

'G' opens up about everything from his experience dropping out of a mundane career in finance to pursue artistic endeavours, to south asian cultural pressures to be a "man", to his struggles with self image and colorism which lead him to photoshopping his skin lighter, and the damaging role of extreme modern day feminism in South Asian Culture. Together we explore these topics through the lens of a Brown Man, a perspective which is not often considered amongst the wider discussion of cultural and social issues.
