His Effect Imposed

Whether we believe it or not, the universe was course-corrected by Jesus. He took care of the natural and supernatural deviances taken since Eden. 

There was no choice for Satan – for him, the effect of Jesus was not a proposal – it was imposed.

Genesis 3:14-15

Then the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all animals, domestic and wild. You will crawl on your belly, groveling in the dust as long as you live. And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.”

There was no choice for the world: 

God Loved Us!

He Chose Us!

He wants us.

John 3:16

For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift.

His intent to us is out of our control, and we can’t make Him stop loving us.

Divine order was restored through Him in every element, atom, particle, and substance.

He restored the pathway to life. The universe’s full spectrum of choice was restored. Amidst the darkness, He restored the choice of life (proposed) and crushed the darkness.(imposed)

All will bow, all will confess. In the very presence of Jesus, we run out of choices – because we can only but admit His glory.

The Proposed Impact of Jesus

Psalm 119:173

Let Your hand be ready to help me, For I have chosen Your precepts.

Once we accept what Jesus proposes, the consequences are imposed.

We accept a proposal from God, and LIFE is imposed.

Divine victory is imposed

Eternal life is predestined

‘”And just as Moses in the desert lifted up the brass replica of a venomous snake on a pole for all the people to see and be healed, so the Son of Man is ready to be lifted up, so that those who truly believe in him will not perish but be given eternal life. Jesus’ Proposed Affect

Jesus triggered a work that would infect the universe with an incredible influence. His work would start in the most powerfully creative way, be revealed in the most unlikely way, and culminate in the most glorious way. He would re-establish the natural rhythms of the universe that would mimic His life on earth. Rhythms of a simple and vital belief, perfect love and helpfulness, the uttermost obedience to His Father’s will and influence. He would work by the power of love in hearts that He won for His own, and by His influence through them would awaken love and faith in those who are yet to find His rhythm.

The Discipline of the Holy Spirit

The true power of supernatural life is a power found in the moment-by-moment obedience to the Holy Spirit.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the moment you realize that you need a guide to achieve that which Jesus has already achieved in you.

But that’s a moment (miracle) and not a practice (blessing).

1 Timothy 1:5

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience, and a sincere faith.

Faith and good conscience work hand in hand because the rejections of either “have made shipwreck of their faith.” 

Love of Jesus = Obeying His commands (WORD IN YOU)

Baptism of the Holy Spirit = Allowing Him to help you be obedient (PROMISES THROUGH YOU)

You cannot help others if you are not allowing the Holy Spirit control over your conscience.

2 Timothy 3:5

…having a form of godliness but denying its power.

The practice of “Holy Spirit obedience” comes from allowing Him to be the sole influencer of your conscience.

Making Supernatural Decisions

Allowing the “presence” to overwhelm your own decision making process by default – e.g. Adam and Eve cool of the evening

The Holy Spirit and your conscience are not the same,

A Conscience Can Become Polluted

I am of “good conscience” vs. I am of “God” conscience

Many liars, cheaters, and adulterers sleep quite well at night. 

Titus 1:15

To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.

The human mind and conscience are capable of being defiled. The conscience is still present but in a state of defilement. 

The Holy Spirit Can Never Be Polluted

The Holy Spirit is a distinct person, unlike the human conscience. The Holy Spirit does not evolve within the individual. It is the same today as when we first received salvation and will be beyond our last day upon the Earth. 

The Holy Spirit cannot be conditioned into subservience or acceptance of any situation contrary to its work ordained by God. 

The conscience wrestles with self-dependence and reliance of genetic makeup, life experiences, and influences.

The Holy Spirit is a totally different entity that is in a constant battle with the flesh (conscience).

Those who have no Jesus have no Holy Spirit working on their conscience. 

Their actions are self-dependent and self-reliant and are prone to deception. They genuinely think they are doing right, but they are only doing right according to their self-reliance and self-promoting standards. Left unchecked by the Holy Spirit, they rush off towards a false sense of truth and righteousness (Adam and Eve)

2 Corinthians 1:12

For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.

Is it My Conscience or the Holy Spirit?

1 John 1-6

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

Each believer is given continuous revelation by the Holy Spirit to benefit not just himself but all. God gives each person their ministry (specific purpose), the Holy Spirit gives us spiritual gifts to accomplish it.

Corporate vs. Lifestyle

We seek the presence to solve our current circumstance, not worship in holiness and thanksgiving.

We come into the corporate environment yearning, having to break through the layers of guilt and shame, and frustrations before we can catch a glimpse of the light. Just when we break through, the service is over.

Genesis 3:8-13

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.

She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

We hide behind the bush, waiting for God to call us, and we don’t step out from behind the bush and present our lives to God. 

Holy Hands to a Holy God (I Timothy 2:8)

Set aside = holy = being different then lets be different!

We want the fix, not the process. We want the miracle, not the blessing.

We come for a miracle and not be set aside and made Holy.

The miracle is a quick fix, but the holy life IS the blessing.

Help You Choose Obedience

Holds You To Your Repentance (True Identity)

Compels Us To Show Mercy To Others

Obedience is the change we need to see the supernatural become a reality.

Presence – the understanding and revelation of God’s intentions and implementing those intentions in our lives.

SPIRIT INTRODUCED – Worked with your choice to help you make the right one

WORD FORMED – He disabled the devil and sin

SPIRIT ENABLES – The manifest intentions of God in your life

Living in the Light – Living in Holiness

When God commands – it’s all in. Let there be light, and there was a flicker???

The light was God’s intention, and the Word made his intentions manifest, and there was light.

Living in the supernatural (blessing) means living in the expressed intentions of God. (Word/Jesus)

If we want the blessing, we need to follow the Word.

Can’t halfway follow Jesus!

Ephesians 5:1-2

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

If the Holy Spirit is sent to make us Holy, He is making us Holy by showing us how to follow Jesus. And we desire the supernatural blessing in this life, then we should want to listen to the Holy Spirit.

We will never stumble into Holiness or Righteousness…

Ephesians 5:3-14

Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.

Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.

You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God.

For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him.
