Context
Jesus on a trip—Passed through Samaria.
Jews hated Samaritans: (½ Jew) (½ Gentile)
Less humans, Worse than dogs.
Sat down by a well rest—Samaritan woman came to draw water.
Jesus said, “Please give me a drink.”

THE GRACE AVAILABLE (PREVENIENT)
John 4:9-10
The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.”
“Don’t have bucket—Well deep! How can I get living water?”

Explains why she bypassed closer water source—Hottest part of day!
Didn’t want to draw any attention!
She heard that the Savior was coming
Miracles—Love!
