This class is fun, but challenging.
You can explore Lotus Pose (Padmasana), as well as the Scales (Tolasana).
Lotus Pose (Padmasana in Sanskrit) is the primary pose for Yoga Meditation. Its main purpose is the perfect grounding of Muladhara Chakra combined with an optimum pranic seal (called Mudra) for Kundalini meditation.
Scale Posture (Tolasana - sometimes called Uttpluthi) is a pose which re-energizes the yogi after a strenuous practice.

Accessible and effective !
An ideal yoga workout: -
- to release stiffness from your legs.
- to build strong, shapely, flexible legs.
This yoga class is ideal for those trying to build general fitness, good for runners, walkers, or if you are a beginner yogi trying to build flexibility.
Namaste.
Half Pigeon - is a pose requiring flexibility and strength.
The power of opposites work together for success in steadiness of pose.
Thighs, buttocks, hips, lower abdomen, psoas, back, chest and shoulders, all require the ability to be held steady, strong, yet open.
Breath plays the integral part in this practice, and without strong, steady breath, stillness cannot be achieved.
(a strong vinyasa yoga class, for the advancing yogi)

Jivamukti Yoga teaches meditation in 3 easy steps.
1. Sit still ! (you can sit still, so do it, do not get distracted).
2. Focus your awareness on breath moving at the tip of nose (a focused awareness on just one thing, breath, no distractions).
3. Silently repeat your personal mantra, or else alternatively say to self silently on inhale breath "Let" and on exhale breath "Go".
"Let Go" - Let Go of all tensions, worries, concerns and transcend all thoughts of the mind, and cross-over to a deeper peace.
Om shanti shanti shantih. (Om peace, peace, peace).

(an easier class, suitable for all).
If you seek steadiness in your life (physical, energetic and mental steadiness), then the yoga therapy required is to open, strengthen, purify and then stabilize our being - in harmony with itself - and also with the Earth.
The 8 Limb Yoga path of Maharishi Patanjali, provides us with a systematic, step-by-step method to find harmony and peace, with ourselves within our existence.
8 Limb Yoga, or in Sanksrit "Astanga Yoga", helps us balance outer and inner worlds, achieve a vibrant healthy life - physically, energetically and mentally, giving us the strength, open-ness and the courage to purify our past and present actions, creating inner and outer harmony, and ultimately the clarity of peace.

(a more advanced practice suitable for yogis who practice regularly, but give it a try, practice safely... and you will love it!!!)
This class is part of the "recovery series" that I have been teaching.

A little Yin Yoga, some Hatha Yoga, and Vinyasa Yoga sequences, blended into a simple, accessible and easy yoga practice.

(this class is easily accessible to all levels, and especially suitable for those who are feeling in need of self-nurture)
If you are a runner, a casual jogger or you simply have tight legs and hamstrings, you NEED yoga. Give this yoga class a try at least 2x weekly.
Tight legs normally transfer their tightness to the lower spine where it is experiences as discomfort, or sometimes as a spasm. The long-term solution is to lengthen the muscles of the legs so that the spine is then freed up from muscular tightness and free to move again.
Note: - you have spent many hours running on the road, you will need to spend considerable time un-doing the built-up tightness.
Don't despair: - the effort will be well worth it, science tells us that relaxed legs muscles will help your running, so the yoga effort will be well worth it. Practice yoga as often as possible, with a minimum of 2x a week.

Challenge Your-self to Change Your-self .... A challenging Jivamukti Yoga class to shift you beyond your comfort zone ...
Patanjali - author of the ancient yoga sutras - gives the following advice in Yoga Sutra 2:46, sthira sukham asanam:- the yoga seat shall be both steady, and joyful.
Meaning, that in order for you to be at peace with your-self, your relationship with the earth needs to be steady in peace.
Tip for practice: Through awareness find steadiness (sthira), and by acceptance find joy (sukham), in every moment in every pose.
Tip for living: Be compassionate to all and to Mother Earth.

(a more advanced class, but its good for all, so give it a try, but always take care of your-self).
Practicing crow pose provides you with a golden opportunity to acknowledge, experience and therefore identify internal tension... and "Let it Go" !
Give it a try. You may just surprise yourself...
A Jivamukti Vinyasa Yoga class, for a more experienced yogi.
