This podcast has been long overdue, and we finally realized it was time to publish it when it had been almost a year since we've published and with no guilt or pangs of remorse with everything else going on we felt now was the time to step back. We explain in great detail why. The show will remain open so listeners can checck past episodes. Farewell and godspeed. .
This is the week we finally relaunch. There's a bit of disscussion in the beginning about Matt's long absence and then we'll dive right back in whefre we left off. With Navy Lark, that means right back to Series 12 and we leaarn what happens when Troutbridge winds up in Shanghai, rather then Shankley and what happens when an old flame enters Povy's office. Then it's off to London late 1890s as we continue our look at The Casebook Of Sherlock Holmes and The Three Garadebs. enjoy.
It feels like the end of an era, not for Brunch but for Narnia. We've done it along with an hour's worth of Navy Lark, that because this episode was actually recorded last winter I can't remember but fear not. Brunch is relaunching and I'll have more details on that soon! Meanwhile enjoy this.
This week we return with a good long brunch to end the holidays. We begin with an hour of Navy Lark in which we learn about who can grow a beard faster between Commander Murray and Sub LT Philips then it's strange radio signals that HMS Troutbridge has to figure out. We continue then with I'm Sorry I'll Reaad That Again and their New Year's Eve 1970 special featuring Dr. Chivago. Then it's back to Narnia and Part 1 of The Last Battle. Enjoy.
This week we conclude the Silver Chair and begin the twelfth series of Navy Lark with two episodes. We also conclude NOtes From A Small Island. Please enjoy. It took us a while onthis one, as you'll hear in my monologues between programs. We hope you're having a delightful holiday season and please email us at [email protected] with any requests.
This week after what has seemed a long absence we begin The Silver Chair after completing series 8 of I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again and learning all about Western Supermare with Bill Bryson. Enjoy.
To cclose out July and our annual look at American playwrights as only the Beeb knows how we're looking at Death Of A Salesman and yes it's quite good. But we also have Bill Bryson's take on Dorsett and an entire hour of I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again. So sit back relax it's almost four hours you can break up. Next week it's back to Narnia. Enjoy.
This week we conclude series 11 of Navy Lark by seeing what happens to Troutbridge under new radar. Then it's a look at the bride of Frankenstein on I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again Bill Bryson tells us about working at an old sanitorium in Virginia Water and we conclude with a look at Harpo Marks's goodwill tour of Russia in 1933. Enjoy.
This week as we do our annual July tribute to America, we feature Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, as our play. We also begin Notes From A Small Island and enjoy rather endearingly Bill Bryson's look at Britain from his American perspective. There's a little extra fun with Navy Lark and we are still working through I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again this time in which Lady Constance is hunted like a fox. Enjoy.
This week we conclude The Voyage Of The Dawntreader. But first we open with Navy Lark, in which CPO Pertwy makes magic with a fruit machine, then Matt Cox and John Lingard talk Prince Philip, his life, his legacy, tv, soccer, church postpandemic cCalifornia and anything else they hit. It's a fun summer jaunt with John and we thank him and hope you enjoy it. We then have I'm Sorry I'll Read That AGain in which the prunes make fun of Henry VIII and we then conclude The Voyage of The Dawntreader. Thanks to Julianne and Joseph and a happy first to Julieanne and Joseph. Enjoy. [email protected]
