  • Episode 54 -- Is That Demon Sperm on the Red Table?
In this episode, the Bruthas discuss the surprising entrance of "demon sperm" into the COVID debate; or more specifically, the introduction of Dr. Stella Immanuel as anti-masker and proponent of the drug hydroxychloroquine.
    We also discuss
    * Efforts by the professional sports leagues to complete their seasons
    * Kanye's very short presidential run
    * The entanglement of Will Smith, Jada Pinkett and August Alsina
    * The tragic shooting of Megan Thee Stallion
    * The very generous gifts of Mackenzie Scott (Bezos) to HBCUs
And finally, we pay our respects for the passing of legendary civil rights icons -- Congressman John Lewis and Reverend C.T. Vivian.

  • Episode 53 - Defu** the Police
In this long-awaited episode, the Bruthas discuss the recent changes that have occurred in America in the post-Floyd era. Namely, the ripping down of confederate monuments, the change to the Mississippi state flag and the corporate maneuvers to be seen as "woke."
Moreover, the Bruthas take a deep dive into the concept of "defunding the police," explaining what the movement is (and is not) trying to achieve.

  • Episode 52 -- The Bruthas are All the Way Live
In response to a monumental week of civil unrest following the monstrous killing of George Floyd by the Minneapolis police, the Bruthas decided to broadcast their first LIVE episode of the podcast and invited listeners to an interactive Zoom-like program. In addition to receive several questions and comments by live chat, we were joined by our dear Sista-n-Law, Carmelita White.
Needless to say, the emotions were raw, but we were able to have a constructive dialogue on the way forward (i.e., emigrating to Africa).

  • Episode 51 -- The Bruthas Three
In this episode, the Bruthas are joined by Brutha O'Neal Saunders. O'Neal is both a lawyer and also a very funny guy.
Unfortunately, the main topic for this episode was not funny at all -- the killings of more innocent black people -- Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. That said, the Bruthas do get an opportunity to talk to O'Neal about his career path as an in-house lawyer for a major international company.

  • Episode 50 -- Grand Re-Coroning
In Episode Diddy of the podcast, the Bruthas discuss the prospect of America "re-opening" in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. The Bruthas also talk about the NFL draft. And finally, they pay homage to the end of the Diamond & Silk era on Fox News.

  • Episode 49 -- Last Dem Standing
In this episode, the Bruthas discuss recent revelations that the coronavirus is disproportionately affecting African Americans. #duh Moreover, they discuss Bernie Sander's decision to drop out of the race and make their predictions as to whom he will choose as his running mate.
The Bruthas also discuss the somewhat shocking endorsement of Trump by DEMOCRATIC politician (and HBCU alum) Vernon Jones.
Finally, the Bruthas have a little fun with controversy surrounding NASCAR driver KKKyle Larson saying the N-word (with a hard 'r')on a YouTube live broadcast.

  • Episode 48 -- The Tiger Kings
In this episode, the Bruthas discuss how they are handling the infection that is sweeping America -- Tiger King mania. In particular, they discuss the Tiger King documentary that has enthralled millions of Americans who are stuck in their homes during this "coronatine." (TM pending)
The Bruthas also give their thoughts on the global pandemic and the implications for life going forward, particularly in regards to November's election (status tentative).

  • Episode 47 -- Sorry, America is Closed
In this episode, the primary topic for the Bruthas is the closing of America due to the spread of the coronavirus. In a surprisingly funny recap, they explain the progression of the crisis and what we can expect from here (Spoiler alert: You're not going to like it). In particular, they provide suggestions on how to survive not just the virus itself, but the much more dangerous situation of spending so much time with your loved ones.
The Bruthas also discuss the not-so-inconsequential developments in the Democratic primary race and whether they think Bernie Sanders still has a viable path to the nomination (Spoiler alert: He's doesn't). They also discuss the disappointing end to the Warren candidacy.
And, in perhaps the only good news of the week, Harvey Weinstein finally was dealt some measure of justice when he was sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexual assault. The Bruthas will share their legal insights into process itself and what it could mean in the constant fight to hold men accountable in the #metoo era.

  • Episode 46 -- Black and Bloom
During this episode, the Bruthas discuss the rise of former NYC Mayor and gazillionaire, Michael "Stop and Frisk" Bloomberg. And while at the very time of this recording, Elizabeth Warren was making him black and bloom during the Nevada debate, there are 64 billion reasons to suspect that Frisky will be back. So listen to the Bruthas explain why that is not a good thing for anyone, especially if you are black.
The Bruthas also give their takes on the latest social media wars -- Gayle King vs. Snoop and D. Wade v. Lil Boosie. In doing so, they attempt to extract the important lessons for all of us to learn about accountability, contribution and most importantly, why no one who named himself "Boosie" should have a social media account.
Lastly, the Bruthas actually put on their law hats and discuss the Crown (Create a Respectful and Open Workplace for Natural Hair) Act, which is making its way through a number of state legislatures. They explain exactly how the law works and what it will (and won't) do to allow black folks to wear natural hair styles at school and in the workplace.

  • Episode 45 -- Saying Goodbye to a Legend
In this episode, the Bruthas give their reactions to the tragic helicopter crash that took the lives of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi and seven others (included the pilot). They not only discuss their personal reactions, but give their impressions on why the reaction has been so strong nation (and world) wide. The Bruthas also discuss the media's role in reporting the tragedy and the introduction of a new word into the AAVE dictionary -- "Naker."
In the rest of blackness, the Bruthas discuss Rep. Ayanna Pressley's brave decision to go public about her alopecia. They also discuss the travails of Deandre Arnold, a young man in Texas who is being told that he needs to cut his dreadlocks in order to graduate from high school.
In entertainment news, the Bruthas give their assessment of the Grammy Awards (spoiler alert: Not enough black people won awards). They also give their review of the latest Tyler Perry comedy (despite the fact that the movie is supposed to be a legal thriller).
