To extend the school day or not to extend the school day?, that is the question! A question Nicky Trendz and Manny Oso are exploring this week with guest Courtney Edwards. The conversation stemmed from a bill former 2020 Presidential candidate Kamala Harris was working on. The Family Friendly School Act proposed extending the school day by 3 hours to help alleviate the working parents financial burden of child care. When Nicky came across a post about this, she strolled the comments before reading the article to gage what the opinion was on the matter. As she was reading she observed many parents arguing that this is a terrible idea, and kids need to be kids, and parents SHOULD find jobs that allow them to work remotely or have flexible hours. After reading the article Nicky herself felt that it wasnt such a bad idea, but there was room for improvement.

Courtney Edwards who is a 2nd grade teacher and parent, was at first oppressed to this whole ordeal. She was going to be a guest who would debate why this was a bad idea, against someone who though opposite. However through corresponding with the host and doing more research on the bill, she soon changed her out take on the whole thing. Courtney gave insight as a teacher why this may work in some states and what kind of schools would benefit from this. She also gave perspective as a working mother who sometimes misses out on quality time with her child due to work. Here is one of the points Courtney shared “In short, I think this bill has some promise. It’s a start. I do believe the wording need to be a bit more precise and the language and requirements should be carefully reviewed and crafted to ensure that the bill does what it actually was created to do. This week our host speak with respected author and trauma therapist Whitney Boole, LMFTA M.A on the traumatic experience of divorce and how to heal from it. Boole has used experience of her divorce to help other heal, with her book "You Got This: Healing Through Divorce." In the book, Boole uses personal stories of heartache and trauma to not only relate to the reader but to also embark on a journey of healing.

Although Manny and Nicky are not married, they both have been products of divorced parents, and have been third parties to crumbling marriages. Manny brought up an interesting question about what is the best approach when a child whose parents are going through a divorce ask and ask an outsider "what's goin on?". Boole, who has children of her own, speaks on the importance of helping a child continue to feel like a child. She expresses the best approach is l to allow the child to speak without making them feel like they are going through an interrogation. The three also go on to speak on how generational and cultural differences can sometimes morph the ideology of divorce as well.

An innocent bar crawl opens up the eyes of the Rubber Ducky Gang. After seeing the changes that have been made in their neighborhood, Nicky Trendz wanted to start a conversation on Gentrification. Not that she doesn’t love having a new brewery open every month in Ridgewood, Queens. She just wonders about the possible displacement going on! The questions comes up of how these new businesses are helping the neighborhood they open shop in. Are they employing locals or transplants? Are they using local vendors for menu items or chain-establishments? How do the neighbors feel about non-native people who come just to drink and take up precious limited parking spots?!

Manny Oso chimes in here, too. With the popularity of the Todd Phillips’ Joker film, fans have been flocking to the stair streets of the Highbrodge neighborhood in The Bronx. The problem with this, is there have been no changes, clean ups or updates. No new stores or “Joker Breweries” to help the neighborhood keep tourists coming. Instead, a flood of influencers and selfie sticks! Locals have complained about the people who are just getting in the way of regular commuters and yet some have looked at it as hope for positive change in The Bronx.

THEY ARE BACK!!! This week the host of Bubble Bath Stories travel to Yonkers to meet up with Mela to dish on this years fall tv line up. From new shows, to returning shows, to shows that should not have seen the day of light! Mela gives the host a quick rundown on her go to show “Peaky Blinders”. Which leads to a conversation about the GOT and “Breaking Bad” spin off movie “El Camino”. While many disliked... HATED GOT’s last season, Nicky and Manny felt the season wasn’t as bad as people made it seem. The reason... binge watching the entire season took away any anticipation and hype that most people were feeling for the 18month wait.

The trio also happily mourn the ending of “modern family”. They all agree this is the perfect time to close the show, but will it end be memorable or terrible? Of course a conversation about fall tv couldn’t continue without mentioning NBC’s “This Is Us”. It was agreed that the first episode

definitely kept the audience anxious and on their toes as always.

Manny and Nicky are crashing a wedding this weekend.... well, not really they were invited!

In honor of these special nuptials, they dedicated the show to all things wedding!

First up... Manny comes across a very 2019 tale, of a lovely young couple looking to finally be rid of their student loans. The bride to be took to Reddit to get some advice on the least tacky way to ask for money instead of gifts. However the her soon to be mother-in-law thinks there is no way they are having a wedding without the gifts. The couple thought about accepting gifts and returning them for money. But worry medaling MIL might drop by to snoop. Manny personally thinks this is super responsible of the young couple to want to start their joined life together debt free.

As many of you know there are rules to this wedding game. Some unspoken, like not wearing white (unless otherwise instructed by the bride) and some so foreign like no posting on social media until the bride and groom post. The next particular story comes from a healthy debate about save the dates. Are save the dates invites? Do you need save the dates? Nicky and manny don’t think so. Although Nicky did understand why people might send them out, Venues change, guest list change and a save the date can help with that. But the extra cost doesn’t seem necessary to these two!

What to wear, What to wear? Well they know what you shouldn’t wear.. YOUR CLUB OUTFIT!!! Nicky tried to drill into the audience to think of a wedding more as a fashion show.... NOT THE CLUB! Obviously look at the invitation, the couple usually notes the kind of attire they expect of their guest. If that doesn’t work, just reach out and talks to the bride, she will be sure to guide you in the right direction. And if that doesn’t work, there’s always google!! Men no sneakers!! you can do a few hours in your fancy shoes, and ladies bring an comfy pair of shoes to change into, bare feet dancing is never ok!!

WE KNOW! You’re tired of hearing about these rich people who lied to get their kids into college, but we had to give you an update!

Embarrassed celebrity Felicity Huffman received a pretty sweet deal following her bust in the college admission scandal that rocked Hollywood earlier this year. After taking a plea deal, she was fortunate enough to only get 14days in club fed! However “Aunt Becky” Lori Loughlin is afraid but still in denial she didn’t anything wrong. Instead of taking the plea deal like Huffman, Loughlin is going to take this to trial. Nicky goes on to question what is the point of wasting tax dollars on a case like this, when all the guilty parties are just getting slaps on the wrist. She also goes on to mention that a coach from one of these colleges accepted at least $600,000 in bribes and he isn’t getting any time. Manny speaks on Hoffman having a cushy life from the very start, while comparing that to Tanya McDowell the mother who received 5 yrs for using a friends address to send her kid to kindergarten in a better area. Every parent wants to give their children an upper hand in life, but is it always a crime? Is this a white privilege thing or a rich privilege thing?

Porn for a cause? Yes! Our favorite porn site PornHub wants you to get down and dirty, so they can get the oceans clean. What they are calling “The Dirtiest Porn Ever” is actually apart of a charity. Once you have reached the climax, PornHub will donate money to non-profit organization by the name Ocean Polymers to help clear the garbage out. China vs. Hong Kong

In an epic showdown between protestors in Hong Kong and Chinese government, protestors have become victorious. The fight began after a plan to allow extraditions to mainland China. But critics said those in Hong Kong would be exposed to China's deeply flawed justice system, and it would lead to further erosion of the city's judicial independence.

After protests that organisers said involved up to two million people at times, Hong Kong's leader Carrie Lam has said the bill is "dead", but has stopped short of withdrawing the bill entirely, so the protests continues.

Beto O’Rouke is sick of the senseless gun violence. During a townhall meeting the 2020 presidential hopeful spoke to the people of Virginia about the recent shooting during a traffic stop in Midland, Texas that left 8 dead. As it all unfolded he told the crowd “this is fucked up!”. Since then O’Rouke’s campaign began

selling T-shirt’s with “this is fucked up” on it six times with the bottom reading “end gun violence now”.

The dynamic duo are back this week with a whole new discussion on influencers. Who are they? What do they do? Why are most of them douche bags!!!??? Manny and Nicky talk on how social media influencers need to step their game up and think before they post. Nicky points out influencers are now considered celebrities in their own right, while manny also mentions before social media “influencers” they had actual celebrities they looked up to; musicians, athletes, actors; etc.

Both host agree, while creating content around the clock is a full time job, influencers should be more responsible when it comes to what they actually post, and to make sure they aren’t giving fans a false reality.

When you charge your young fans $50 to stream you fake wedding, such as Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau did, you have to ask yourself, are you an influencer or a scam artist. The risk that are taken to be edgy and controversial can be risky and possibly the reason for their downfall. As we have all seen before, it takes 1 second to lose it all, and a miracle to get it all back.
