The #faircattlemarkets social media campaign a couple years ago really opened my eyes to how far gone the cattle industry appeared to be, but it really hit close to home for Mackenzie Johnston. A canary in the coal mine on the issue of Brazilian beef imports, Mackenzie witnessed firsthand the power of money and political influence on a seemingly virtuous sector of the economy.
