Dan Brown (not the author) is back just in time for the infamous Mud Bowl! A weird Texas explosion/train crash takes away the Panthers' home-field advantage, so Coach Taylor does the obvious thing and turns a cow pasture into a football field. We hope an idea this crazy re-sparks everyone's love for the game, and that the brown stuff on the Panthers' uniforms is mud and not cow poop.

The TMU job in Austin becomes a very real possibility for the Taylors except for the fact that Julie flat out refuses to go with them. Meanwhile, Jason's quad rugby dreams are dashed, Tami tries to get Tyra college-ready, and Riggins gets friendlier with his new neighbors (a hot single mom & the kid from The Blindside).

Chloe Ifshin stops by to discuss the terrible choices everyone in Dillon is making this week: Tim's dad steals a video camera, Tyra's mom assaults Buddy outside church, and Jason gets a Sanskrit tattoo. Oh, and just when Matt thinks the playoffs are the biggest thing he has to worry about, Julie declares that she thinks they should have sex.

Fresh off their big playoff win, the Panthers' excitement is quickly dampened by Coach Mac's not so great racist comments. After Julie & Tyra are caught skipping gym class, they're forced to play in the school's powderpuff game as punishment, coached by Tim & Matt with Landry as referee. And yes, it's as fun as it sounds.

Tami Sagher (Inside Amy Schumer, Girls, How I Met Your Mother) joins as the Panthers prepare for their first playoff game! Tim visits his dad for some fatherly golf hustling, Julie and Tyra have a girls' night with Grandma Saracen, and Matt poses naked in a hot tub to help the rally girls raise money for charity? (It's confusing.)

Comedian Kevin McCaffrey (College Stories) joins us to discuss the Panthers being one game away from making the playoffs and everyone else being on edge! Smash's mom find his terribly hidden steroids, Jason contemplates his future with Lyla, and Tyra enlists Tim to help get her mom get a job at Garrity Motors. (Yeah we don't get it either.) 

Meghan Maguire joins us this week to discuss the Panthers' future which rests on the result of the Buckley vs Arnett Mead game. While they're waiting for the news, Buddy gets Matt's dad a job selling cars, the Streets sue Coach Taylor, and Tyra goes after her mom's boyfriend with a fire poker.

Everyone has their work cut out for them this week! Lyla & Jason attempt sex in a wheelchair, Matt tries to get his dad to return a hug, and Landry's forced to read a book to Tim Riggins.

Football's not the only game in town this week. It's the big cheer competition! And all of a sudden Lyla can do back flips, Julie and Matt are dating, and the preacher's daughter returns from... Africa?
